Business is all about what you think you can excel at and what you are passionate about. After all, if you do not have the drive to become successful at something, you would be entering things half-heartedly, making poor decisions, and overall just working for the sake of working. Choosing a startup business should be about looking for demand and asking yourself whether you can be committed to providing people with services that would satisfy this demand. If you don't feel right doing your business, most probably you haven't chosen the right printer.

The idea of joining a startup is exciting. But the overwhelming desire to leave something old to join something new can become a double-edged sword. Just because you are eager to get your foot in the door does not mean you shouldn’t be picky. You are a valuable asset, and it’s important to remember this during the search process.Nice resource !

I always applaud anyone who decides to start their own business.  In today’s economy it will become even more important for individual t have multiple income streams.

With that said, the advice I would give you would be do something that you are passionate about.  Reason being is that you will be doing it 24/7.  Secondly you need to find out if there is a market for your idea.  If not for your initial idea maybe a variation on the initial idea.

There are several sites I always refer folks to when answering this question, and the first is www.sba.gov, this is a great resource because they offer a number of tools and tutorials I think are extremely helpful for someone considering a business.  The second site I would recommend is My Own Business which is another site that is very ‘startup friendly’.  I hope my answer has been helpful. I wish you great success.

Choosing the right  business is very important for you. It depends a lot on your interests and your knowledge as well. If you have a thorough knowledge of a business then you won't face much of a problem in starting that business. But if you don't have much knowledge about a business then you can buy an already established business for sale as the experience employees would provide you with the requisite help to run the business smoothly. So be careful and always think twice before starting a business.

There are the article by BYTRADE talking about how to start a business ,i think it is helpful

Write down your likes and dislikes. There is no sense in starting a business that involves doing everything you dislike doing.

Write down your skills. What do you know how to do that other people will pay for?

Look at market trends. What is going on in the world? What kind of things are people buying? What types of services are hot?

Look at your lists for Steps 1-3 and begin generating business ideas.

Seek input from family, friends, and trusted associates. They may notice talents and skills that you never thought of.

Do some market research to see if any of your ideas are viable. Just because you think something is a good idea it doesn't mean that it will catch on.

Read- a lot. Spend time reading about business and entrepreneurship. Read both books and magazines. Read stories of successful business owners. Keep up on the latest business news and trends.

Come up with a plan. What kind of business will you start? When will you start your business? How will you make sure your legalities are in order? How will you finance this? How will you market your business?

Thank you for sharing that book (and the coupon code!) with us. There’s a lot of information on the web (even if it’s hidden amongst piles of spam), but sometimes it’d just nice to do some research the old fashioned way curled up on the sofa with a highlighter. The library is also I place to find some helpful and informative books on marketing and business, you just want to be sure that they are more current and up to date.
