I use and love Aweber too.  There`s also Email Aces, GetResponse, 1ShoppingCart, ConstantContact, etc.  There are lots of autoresponders - choose one that fits your needs.

Just a word of caution.  There are free autoresponders out there, but you do get what you pay for.  And if you are unhappy with the service, it can be a pain in the neck to switch everyone over to a new autoresponder.  Good luck!

I too am in need of a more complex email list solution. I have used some email list software before (mostly mailman), but now I need something that will go much further. Mainly, I need more automation involved.

Here are some of the features that I need:
- ability to send emails on a set schedule based on a users registration date. Here`s the scenario, when someone is registered on our site, we want a series of emails to be initiated that will send them an email every week. For example, we have 14 specific email templates that should be sent to the users on a weekly basis. So, someone that has been registered for a week will get message 1, someone who`s been around for a couple months will get message 8, etc. It`s all based on the date they register.
- I want this to be done automatically without someone having to send out the messages. We want to set up the templates and the schedule, then let the system crank out the messages as the date in the schedule dictate. When a new user is registered, the email list should initiate the email schedule with no extra intervention from us.
- I want the administrator of the list to receive some messages or statuses regarding the state of members. A report showing which clients are approaching week 14 for example.
- Then, of course, we want to be able to send out what I consider the standard newsletter (human initiated) emails to the entire user group.

I`ve been searching, but have yet to find anything that does all this. Anyone out there see something even close? Or even better, have you used something like this?

I need an e-mail list of business owners. Has anyone heard of good e-mail lists providers?

Hi Ken,
I`ve used Constant Contact and a few others and the best I`ve found is Lyris. You can go direct with them, or if you have a relatively small list you can go through a reseller like Net Atlantic. I send out about 30k emails a week to Realtors in SW Florida and the Dallas Metroplex and it runs about $400/mo. I use Net Atlantic and am extremely happy with both the service and suppot.

You should take a look at mailchimp.com.

very easy to use, reasoanable rates, and they just added a new feature: rss-to-mail

When you post a new job, and your rss feed updates, mailchimp will take that new info and send it to the job seekers list. It`s quite interesting.

I also find mailchimp easier to use than constant contact, and emails look better.

I agree that Mailchimp and Emma does have a better interface and probably better email marketing and email management features. But I still like using CoolerEmail. Email me if you need to get a hold of a CoolerEmail Rep. They charge monthly depending on how big your subscriber list is.
