Hello fellow SUN addicts! I am going to be offering an opt-in email list for job seekers and a seperate one for hiring managers on my site.  My question is, how should I implement this and what should I use to managae it?  I have not had any experience in email lists other than being on one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Best Wishes and Thank you in advance for your priceless knowledge!

Ken - what will you use the email list for? Are they signing up to receive news from you on jobs? Will this be a newsletter service from you?

The list for the Job Seekers will be to let them know of new Jobs that are available. The list for the hiring managers will be to inform them of new services and hiring events available. I guess to answer your question a little better, the list for the hiring managers will be more of a newsletter service. Thanks for your help.Best Wishes.

Ken,

I use Constant Contact email service for several clients. It is a good solution and one I think would work for your needs. You can also use it free for awhile to try it out, play around with it, do some tests, etc. It is pretty easy to use. Once you set it up, it manages your lists for you and has some great tracking tools, too.

I use Emma for the same type of thing.  I found it easier to use than Constant Contact.  It`s more expensive upfront ($250 for your template), but I thought they were much more "user friendly".

Kim - good suggestion. I forgot about Emma. It is good, too. Choices are good.

Ken,

I know a ton about bulk Email lists.  You`ll need a custom solution.  Reason being is you`re sending email notifications about jobs, not a real email `list` per say.  If you want, I can help you out more.
