What great advice here. TJG I haven`t given up on the idea I have just been busy working on the web page. I feel that the web page is your calling card and want to get that looking better.
Kim I have to agree with you as far as reaseach and feedback being important. I have lost count how much time I have reseached but know that it is time well spent and will help me in the future,
Richard and IOU I certainly agree with you as far as keeping a book. In fact what I have done this past year is kept a journal in  Personal Knowbase about IB Designs. I have put the ups and the downs and it is amazing when I re-read some of the things that I have put in a year ago. I am glad that I have put it down because you can only trust your memory so far.lol.
Thanks for all the help everyone!

Kathy, this is where you and I differ. I`m a firm believer in PASSION. Your web site is simply an extension of yourself, not a calling card that is going to sell anything.

What did folks do prior to the web??

They beat down doors, getting folks excited about their product. You can sell your product very easily, without ever having a finshed web site. But it takes hard work, excitement about your product, a passion and belief that you`ve got the most dynamic, exciting and creative product on the market since sliced bread.

I recall an email that I received from your business associate that talked about not wanting to "mass produce" your product ... and was more geared to the individual. But as you have shared, the "individual" market just isn`t buying your product. It may be that your product is a dud ... or it just might be that you and your team may just not have all the pieces in place. Why not wholesale your product to an established and profit driven enterprise?

It is very unlikely thayt a local Staples or Office Max or chain store will buy into your product line. hey have no authority to purchase items. Everything must go through corporate.

However, the 18 yr old is the "company". Have you been in contact with them? There`s your jackpot right there. Don`t give up on your dream !! (If you truly believe that you have the greatest item since sliced bread. If you don`t beleive in your product, then give up. You are then wasting your time. And life is tooooo short to be wasting time.)

Hey Kathy,

Regarding your website, you might check out www.networksolutions.com.  It was recommended to me by a friend who`s company used it and I just set up my website with them last week.

A year of hosting, 3 domain names, and use of their self-serve design tools cost me about $150.  I am really happy with how well my site turned out and I spent a total of less than an hour, setting it up and tweaking it a few minutes a day over a period of a week.  You can play with their design tools for free for 30 days.

I have no personal interest in Network Solutions, just want to let you (and everyone else) know that I had a great experience with them.

I think TJG has a great point!  You have to have PASSION in what you`ve created... success doesn`t happen over night... it`s better to grow gradually (my opinion) Because as you grow, you learn and evolve.  Have you considered going to the Furniture  conventions?  I hear they are huge and costly to attend, but I believe you may do well going this route... If the Passion is still there, then don`t give up just yet!  I`ve had quite a few bumps and still have some bumps to smooth out, but I`m not giving up yet!  TOO much Passion!
