Lately I have been skimming through the topics at Startup Nation. I have been rather busy putting out small fires and preparing product to add to my site (ElusiveTreasure.com). Since I have been away (working my business), I haven’t been spending the quality time I normally do at SuN. I’m not sure how I feel about that.

I miss all the people I have grown to know, during my days of frequent posting. But now, my business is picking up. Or at least there are many things to be done now. And I feel like I’m missing something when I finish the day and can’t talk to my wife about an interesting topic, taking place on SuN.

Tell me… does anyone miss me, as much as I, miss all of you?

Also, when you’re away from SuN for an unusually long time, do you miss us?

Have a great day all!

For the most part I`ve been pretty steady since I got involved in the community.  I`m here nearly every day to at least check in with the discussions if I`m not posting something.  There have been times when I`ve been absent for a few days.  It isn`t so much that I miss SuN because I`m most likely preoccupied with work or leisure, rather that when I return, there is this big anticipation to see what I`ve missed.

I`ll be taking a short vacation to Seattle in a few days.  I`m a little anxious about being away from my computer and what has become my connection to the world as I sit in my studio alone everyday.  In actuality, I never have any problem leaving my day-to-day work life for recreation.  When I am camping, browsing the internet is usually the farthest thing from my mind.  Seattle will be the same way though I will probably be checking email.  However, I just know that when my plane lands back in Denver next week, when SuperShuttle returns me to my house and after I`ve settled in for at least a few minutes, I`ll be sooooo curious to see what`s gone on in these here forums.

I feel like I should be giving back to this place by doing my part and contributing best I can ... and when I get too busy to do so, I do miss what is going on.

It`s kind of like catching up with an old friend when you get back on.

I`ll throw into the mix the concept of "co-creation." That`s not often examined in the less complicated "The Secret."

Consider the proposition that the more anyone thinks about something, envisioning it, the more likely it becomes that it`ll happen. It`s the principle behind the law of attraction, harmonic vibration, and so forth. Stipulate that it`s all true, for the moment.

We (as purportedly spiritual beings) come here to create and learn to create. But like any venue, we don`t usually create things totally in isolation. Some do, but not many. Think of the symphony orchestra.

On the one side of the stage we have the composer, who may or may not play in the orchestra. Then we have the conductor, involved in the interpretation of the score. Then we have the many musicians who join together with a unified intent to play the many parts of the music.

On the other side, we have the audience. Ask any performer and you`ll hear the reference to how an audience provides the energy of enthusiasm, appreciation, enjoyment, and the "Oh Wow!" factor. Each person in the audience is part of the overall creation of the musical night....performance.

Then consider the people who built the concert hall, those who manage it, those who maintain it, and those peripheral people who handle things like parking, food concessions, and so forth. Each of them has a part to play in the overall creation taking place.

So what about your personal business---anyone`s business? One person comes up with an idea. The problem is to manifest that idea as a physical, tangible product (even a service, in this context). Do they do this in complete isolation?

Think of the many words and posts someone places here about their new idea, new business, or their obstacles and setbacks. Each thought is joined by others, all of whom focus in the lens of concentration on that specific issue. Energy comes into play, and (again, on stipulation) begins to change the world.

It`d be no surprise that people who`ve enjoyed SuN, spending time talking, exchanging ideas, imaginatin`, and ponderatin`, have generated tremendous energies. Those would begin to show up in their business life.

SuN is like an Idea Transformer. We feed into it the general ideas, theories, dreams and visions. The step-up transformer takes the minute energies of one person, and begins to pump in secondary energy. It grows, improving the efficiency and power of that single person`s energy. The output is the increase to that person`s idea.

Another way to see it would be like the starter on a car engine. It takes only a small amount of energy to crank over the starter. But the inertia and amplification coming from that starter changes the turning of a key and the small voltage into enough energy to kick over the main engine. After that happens, the engine begins to pull in fuel and output much more energy.

In some ways, people come to SuN to turn the key in the ignition. The forums and articles, along with the Sloan brothers` energy is like the starter motor. Depending on their needs, some people need to crank the engine a number of times before they`re on their way. In other cases, it takes only one or two times.

Either way, though, eventually people develop the movement and their own power, and start traveling to their destination.

I like posting on SUN more than I like working. Or it`s close. SUN is a great exercise and everyone here is really nice. Even the mean people are nice as far as mean people go.

Yes, Craig, I come here for an audience ...

because it sure beats standing on my soapbox when I`m the only one in the room!

CraigL... Great illustration... but "How do you feel about SuN?" Do you miss it when you`re away?
