I recently started a healthy lifestyle website because
it truly aligns with what I`m passionate about. I learned
to eat healthy stop fad dieting and to make a long
story short I lost about 80 lbs. in the process.

I want to be able to help people with the same thing
I live a healthy lifestyle everyday and again it`s a new
passion for me. The website was designed to give
my tips, reviews and recipes that I`ve tried.

Here`s the dilemma, I`m also passionate about
putting functional websites together through wordpress
and driving traffic to them (I learned all about
traffic generation for the past 8 months)

I want to start a continuity/membership program
for my website so I was trying to combine my passions
into one business.

Showing people how to put together, monetize and
market their healthy lifestyle websites.

The continuity program would be a fixed program that
would only run for 20 weeks or so...

What do you guys think?

Thanks

I think you have a great idea!  You have defined a great niche market within your target market.  You are really well on your way to having a great business.

You obviously would want to make sure that your website is super impressive.  I work with a lot of people who call themselves web designers but when I go to their website I think, if this is the best I can expect from them...no way... So make your website just knock-it-out-of-the-park-awesome.

Are you active in other healthy lifestyles social networks?  I would personally start there by becoming known for providing good content and quality advice.  This is the web 2.0 way.  It is slower but also more reliable and less expensive than going out and spending money on marketing.

The "Continuity program" would be your training program?  I am guessing that is your monetized content.  Is that an autoresponder type program where you provide the content over time?  I love this model and use it myself for my free content to build my list on my website. I offer a free 7 day program on starting a business the Agile/lean way.

I think you are on the right path.  Keep it up.

Peace

I also want to know how you put in your entire website through wordpress together. It might be a great way to drive traffic to your website and attract the customer with bang!!

Hope to see your reply with some great idea.

Joseph can you please explain more about the continuity program, so that I would be able to understand it more.

Thanks a ton...

Healthy lifestyle websites have a lot of potential. I like the fact that you will be selling spades and shovels to the gold diggers. It seems like a good niche. Go for it. Good luck.

Nice one.

It should be quite easy to combine your passions and make money at the same time - especially with your niche.

The Continuity program could be made up of weekly videos where you walk them through various recipes, interviews with experts, or solutions to your markets main pain points.

Use all the traffic driving techniques you've learnt to drive traffic to your healthy lifestyle website and Continuity program.

Then once that business is making a steady passive income, you can move on to creating another business that focuses on showing people how to put together, monetize and market their healthy lifestyle website, using your website as proof.

Don't overdo the anchor text. You don't want all your inbound links looking the same, because that looks like automation - something Google frowns upon. A big site needs a site map, which should be linked to from every page on the site. This will help the search engine robots find every page with just two clicks. Make sure the text links show up first in the source code, because search engine robots will follow the first link they find to any particular page. They won't follow additional links to the same page.
