Just posting to say what a breath of fresh air entering the Home Based 100 competition has been. Whether we win a spot in the competition or not, it has brought tons of fun, lots of interaction with our customers and some new sales to us!
First, I`ve been a member for some time and have drifted from the boards. I log in occasionally to keep up on what is going on, but have not participated actively in the forums and I have missed the info and all the great people on here!
One of the recent things, from SUN, that I picked up on was to subscribe to HARO. If you haven`t done this, do it! It is FREE. Peter is great! I have been receiving the posts for some weeks now and we have already been featured in a product review listing and have had our story published on a success story site featuring people who have overcome adversity to suceed. We have also had several requests for samples for companies getting ready to put out Holiday Gift Guides and are hoping to make it in a couple.
We have used the need for votes, in the Home Based 100 contest, to generate an email blast to our client database where we offered our customers a sales special, good now thru the end of the year and also asked our customers to vote for us! Sales jumped way up via our website and I`ve said it before and I will say it again. . ."I have some of the best customers in the world". They are what inspire me and keep us going. They responded with lots of votes and lots of great comments. Our Vote Meter jumped way up and we are almost to HOT!!!! (We are going to get to HOT!)
We will be telling everyone at our upcoming shows about SUN and handing out notes, urging customers to visit the site and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE! We are having so much fun with this!

P.S. Can anyone tell me how to do the link to vote for us in my signature. I wish I was more computer savvy and could this stuff out!!! UGH
