Hello, I am a licensed acupuncturist by profession.  I firmly believe in taking natural approaches to health, and life.  The "holistic" or "natural" or "organic" or "green" push is really starting to gain a lot of attention today and toward the future.  I believe in all of these things.  I love organic or all natural products for everything in my life, child diapers, food, cleaning supplies, herbs, medicine etc.  I obviously can not give acupuncture treatments online but I would like some assistance of possible ideas or concepts to offer something online.

By the way, I do have a website that I just started www.herbalbeautysecrets.com  I also do all natural facial rejuvenation treatments and these are the products and herbal supplements that I use.  They are all natural, chemical free, and zero animal testing done.  These are high end specialty products.  This is my one idea but would like to expand.

Thank you for your time,
Acunick

The website is very attractive but the copywriting doesn`t do anything
for me.  I have consulted for people in the holistic fields and they
generally have a real big resistance to making clear selling arguments.

Sites such as this one invite people to change their buying habits,
try something unfamiliar and probably spend more money and have
to wait for it to come in the mail...   so don`t be surprised when your
visitors don`t buy and don`t come back.

This isn`t a direct response site... it doesn`t tell teh customer what
to do: "purchase the starter package NOW... an incredible savings
of over 32% off reglaur retail prices"  etc...

of course, as a 3-rd party distributor, your hands may be tied
in making such offers, but I hope you get the idea.

First rule of internet marketing : there MUST be a clearly visible
email opt-in form offering information of value to a potential
customer.  A "contact us" button is really insufficient.

I wouldn`t spend a dime on getting traffic until you have an opt-in
form, a newsletter written, and a direct-repsonse offer giving your
visitors  Great reason to BUY NOW, TODAY.

This may all come off as rhetoric from some marketing guy... and
you may choose to think that your customers are "different" but
trust me they aren`t.

Your site should be promising " tight, youthful skin, the diaphanous
glow of ripe sexuality that makes both men and women go slack-
jawed when you share your real age..."

How about running a Holistic consulting business?  I for one would love to know how to go `Organic` or `Green` but don`t know where to start.

Thank you for your input!  I was not sure what you mean by copyright.  Also, I very much agree with what you said, even though I believe in more holistic approaches, I am not a hippie type of person and I am very motivated as a businessman.  I just happen to believe that it is a better approach and safer approach.  So now what.  I posted because I would like the input of others, this is my first online venture but I want a national presence and the internet is the future and has exponential growth capabilities.

Thank you for your input.  Could you elaborate on this?  Consulting.... I would love to do just not sure what I would be consulting exactly.

If you could I would like to hear what you would be looking for.

Thanks

A lot of chiropractors offer sidelines of supplements, nutritional supplies, and so forth. It sounds as if you`re in a similar situation.

You`d use your Web site to advertise yourself, offer directions to your office, and maybe show who you are. But you also can use the site for papers you write, like articles and essays about acupuncture and how it impacts modern life.

Additionally, you could use it to sell your own sideline of whatever particular support items you recommend in your physical office.

Side Note:  The "copyrighting" should have been "copy writing."

Well I remember I was on a website for a supermarket and they offered something through E-Diets.com.  Now E-Diets helps people by suggesting healthy affordable meals according to that person`s goal (as determined by a survey).

Your online portion of your business could expand on this.  I hate to use the term `Life Coach` because of the hippie stigma but that is kinda what I was thinking.

I imagine there are plenty of people out there that would like to make changes towards the organic/green/hollistic lifestyle.  People could sign up for your service (for a periodic/one time fee) and you can show them a plan to accomplish their goal via references/encouragement/explanations.   You may even be able to develop an online store and steer them in the direction of products/services/techniques you like to use.

You would have to sell them on your credentials via the website.  Maybe use some client testimony.

I hope that makes sense.

EDIT: Capitalizations and more info.

GD8N make a really good point. You have to decide if you want to sell an item or particular service, or if you want to broadcast information. Web sites can certainly do both, but if so, they need a form and structure that makes it easy to know which area of the site someone is visiting.

One simple question that I think has almost disappeared from today`s culture is, "Why?" It`s a one word question, and yet so much of what happens depends on the motivation and drivers behind our actions.

"I have a Web site, and I want it to be more than it is right now." That`s what this post is about. "I want it to have something associated with holistic health and acupuncture." Okay, that`s what you want.

Why?
