Hello everyone.  I just recently joined and am thrilled to have found this site where I can get insight, suggestions and feedback from fellow entrepreneurs like all of you!  I look forward to hearing from you all.

I’ve been self-employed for about 13 years, but just began thinking of myself as a small business about a year ago.  I’m not really a typical business and, I’ve found I sometimes have to “tweak’ the normal business guidelines, so I am eager to hear how others have met challenges and hopefully get some creative advice, as well as possibly be able to help others.

Hi Natalie,
Welcome to SUN.  It is great what you do in the childcare field. Here you can ask for advice from some seasoned business folks or give advice to folks who have questions. I am happy to hear that you are excited to contribute. There are alot of folks who are getting started and could use your advice!

Hi Natalie,

Welcome to YE !!!

I would like to know what kind of changes are your thinking of regarding the business guidelines :).

I used to do a job and was employed for 3 years. Then gradually I started feeling the itch to start my long time dream of being an entrepreneur and thats when I let off my job go. Initially things we were a little bit haphazard, unclear, confusing but gradually you get to learn things and  with time you do realize that you are learning the things that one needs to run the business. I have to business mentor and I am trying to learn things through experience, though I would like to have one :). Lets see.

All the best to you :).

You are totally in the right place. If you get a chance, look for the StartUpnation book "Open For Business." It is a bible for etrepreneures.
Welcome and don`t be afraid to ask questions.
