Hi Everyone,  I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and I'm glad I found this site.  I am in the process of starting my errand services business which I plan on evolving into an event planning business.

I really like being a part of a forum as talking to others in the same boat is one of the best learning tools and it is also nice to just talk to people too!

I'm married with two school-aged kids and three pets so you can see why I'm interested in a home-based business.  I've always enjoyed the idea of being an entrepreneur and now I'm going to make it happen.

If you don't know anything about Edmonton or have never been, don't come here in the winter.  It's so cold.  I keep trying to convince my husband to move to California but it's not working.  Our summer months are hot but too short.

Anyways, I'm glad to be here and look forward to chatting with you all!

Congratulations on beginning your small business journey! I had a friend that ran an "errand" business and was noted as business of the year in the local paper (about 10 years ago!)

I would love to tell you that you should begin by creating your business identity.

For one have a Logo designed for mailing, advertising, website?, and future correspondence. Be sure you have a simple logo, one that is memorable. Ask your designer to show you the logo design works in color and blk/white.

Good luck with your business! Keep me posted here on Startup as to how you are coming along.
