Unless you`ve been living in a cave for the last few years, you`ve no doubt heard the phrase, "Content is King!" Well, now there`s proof to back up that statement. The Online Publishers Association, concluding a four year study noted a 37% increase in the amount of time Internet users devoted to visting content websites. Internet users now spend nearly half their online time visiting content websites.
The following Internet usage figures are courtesy of the OPA and Nielsen//NetRatings for June/07:
Commerce: 13.8%
Communications: 32.0%
Content: 49.6%
Search: 4.5%
