I'm 1 year into creating a Gardening product with unique parts, as well as other commercial available parts.

I'm looking to start out small....in my basement with a buddy.

I have alot of automation and IT knowledge, but not alot of startup capitol....so buying in large Quantities is not available yet.

I'm stuck on 1 small issue.  I want to include a small plastic tarp with our product that has an elastic edge so that it snaps around the outside of the container.

I can develop and produce the tarp....but I am stuck on the technical aspect of attaching the elastic part to the plastic film.

Anyone have knowledge with this?

I don't know what material to use, where to get it, Cost associated with it.....and most importantly....How to attach it at a reasonable cost that is of quality to be outdoors in the elements.

Even thought I want to start small, I also want the end product to appear commercially made.

Thanks

Bill

Bill:

Here's a suggestion. Make a loop of elastic the size you will need for the container. Then sew the elastic into a seam around the bottom of the tarp. This way the elastic will be protected from the elements and permanently enclosed within the tarp.

Good luck.

Hi, read your post sounds interesting.  Seems to me might be best to keep it simple.   How about tarp cut to shape to match.  Sew a foam 1/4 bead crack insulation available at home depot arount the edge. Then use a bungee strap to wrap around top of bucket? to hold in place.

Hope this helps good luck
