I may be INCREDIBLY late to the table on the ad design discussion.
I`m confident in BridalChic`s Ability to develop a good advertisement
As long as you follow the 3 rules for success in advertising you`ll be fine.
1. Say the Right Thing
2. To the right people
3. Enough times to cause them to take action (doing business with you)
The magazine (though I`m not familiar with it) would seemingly be the right people. The sales rep can help you identify how often to run your ad. My guess would be each and every time it`s issued if it`s a monthly.
But most importantly. Say the right thing. Be sure your ad (whoever designs it for you) answers the most important question to potential customers. WHY?
Why do they need your products
Why should they do business with you
Make sure your headline offers a benefit statment (again answering why) to the magazine reader.
Make tell them what it is you want them to do... The "Call To Action".
Examples of these might be
"Call Now"
"Visit our website"
"sign up for our catalogue"
You`d be surprised at how many ads don`t do this. Next time your looking through a newspaper, look at all of the ads (usually local small businesses, sometimes big companies with marketing departments and advertising agencies ACK!) that don`t answer the why question, don`t offer a benefit statement headline and don`t offer a specific and easily identified call to action.
