Hello Nation!! Clothing Resale tips anyone???

I am looking into starting a clothing resale store for teens. Does anyone have any pointers and suggestions on getting started? I need to know everything at this point! In advance thanks!!

P.S. I have worked in Property Management and Marketing for years and know alot about the Bar business if anyone has questions.

Make sure to check out the 10 Steps to Open for Business. You`ll get a lot of good pointers to send you on your way!

As for specifics in the apparel business, I am not familiar. However, one inexpensive way to start is to utilize a site like CafePress.com or other similar sites/services. You won`t make as much profit per item sold as you would going more traditional routes but it`s an easy way to break into a market. I have no idea if that`s up your alley or not but I thought I`d mention it.

Also, there was a recent thread about someone looking for information regarding the bar biz. You might want to check it out!

Hi, Aimee,

It sounds like you have a lot of researh to do in how you will build your business. Teens have tremendous spending power and your biggest challenge will be creating an ongoing marketing campaign that will appeal to this somehwat non-commital, non-loyal audience. I`m interested in hearing more details!

Thank you for your response. Yes, I do have alot of research to do. I have a little experience in the resale business. Last year I sold to a childrens & teens resale corporate office for about a year and made GREAT money but I had to let it go due to my business partner not being on the same page...not being an honest partner. I just need to make up my mind an stick to a plan!

What exactly does your company do?
