Start small, and then grow to bigger and bigger acquisitions.  That is the best way to do it.  Just make that first purchase.

Corinne,

I am sure there is some kind of Small Business Administration equivalent, which is a good place to start.  As you are in real estate, have you considered a co-op with others in your field?

Raisecapital02  has a very valid point.  The capital you need, most legitimate lenders will not deal with you over the internet.  There has to be considerable face to face and the paperwork could take months as business plans and contingency plans have to be reviewed and possibly reworked.  You are not talking about a few thousands but millions of dollars.  Beside any lender worth his or her salt will want a say in say and in some cases a stake in the business until the loan is cleared.

MNGrillGuy suggestion is at least one option.  Hope you get the funding you need.  Have you considered a venture capitalist?

Hi there!

While I am new to the site, I am open to helping genuine entrepreneurs find funding if I believe in the idea.  Moreover, I am pretty darn business savvy and could be of assistance if needed.  If interested sum up in a few paragraphs the idea and financial needs and maybe I can be of some assistance.

I agree with RaiseCapital02.  In a situation like that you may want to facilitate and investment group... basically managing the transaction for others with money and taking a percentage of the deal.
