I just recently saw on a national news channel about a couple entrepenuers. These people are fixing Ipods which Apple wont touch. I am wondering if anyone has seen, used, or started one of these types of businesses? I am very interested but dont know much about electronics but am willing to learn due to the high need for this service!

Something you will have to take into consideration is the price of the device. Many people would spend $100 to fix a $3,000 computer.
But I don`t know how many would pay $80 to fix something they can get new for $100.

Check the news story out. I understand where you are coming from, but what about the $400 video ones. The screen for such an Ipod is only $40. Also batteries are very cheap <I think thats where most of the business is screens and batteries>.
