Hello to all my friends and soon to be friends on startupnation. It has
been a whirlwind year for myself as I`m sure it has been for many of you
also.

It may be a little inappropriate in writing this on the forum - but I have a
MAC and nortoriously there are issues when trying to do
something...such as create a blog for myself. So for now, I beg your
pardon for I am feeling the love for all of you that have given me kind
words of encouragement, words of inspiration, and words of hope.

I wanted to share with you all that I have FINIALLLLLYYY, after 6 very long
years, completed my Associates of Applied Science in Commercial
Photography this very month of December, 2006. Associates only you
ask - yes,,, Associates only. I`m a wife, a mother, I work a full time job as
a police dispatcher still - not to mention all the mandatory overtime (on
average maybe I work about 50 hours a week) AND I was squeeking in a
photography job once in awhile - all of this while taking classes. Makes it
a little easier to understand why it took me 6 years, eh?   My husband is
very happy to see me reach this goal - and to have someone who knows
how to clean -really clean - the house back in the swing of things (not
meaning that in a derrogratory way to women - but I swear the man has
no clue what a vacuum cleaner is). Little does he realize once I go full
force with this business it`s either hire a housekeepper or shut up about
the messy house. Needless to say - I`m letting him enjoy this feeling of
"everything is normal again" feeling. Why spoil it for him?

God has truly blessed me with a love and gift for photography, the love of
my wonderful husband, the sweetness & love of a beautiful daughter,
great friends and famly, ours and their health, a nice roof over our heads,
and good paying jobs (even though mine feels more like a ball & chain
most the time).

My wish for all of you this New Year`s Eve is that you will take a moment
to realize how truly blessed you are and be greatful for what you do have.
We`re only on this earth for 1/2 a second in the big picture of things.
Take care of the people who love you and be there for the people who
need you.   My wish for all of you in 2007 that may be struggling with
starting your own business (like me) is to hang in there and continue to
actively seek answers to your questions. Have faith and prayer that you
will get it all figured it out. It will happen. It`s all a journey.

No need to respond to me on this string - Just wanted to share :) I guess
if you feel so inclined - share your thoughts on what you`re greatful for.

God bless you and Happy 2007 to you all.

Joy,
I can`t help but notice you have no photos in your photo gallary . I`d think this would be a great place to start advertising.   I... uh ... have a few in my gallary if you care to have a look.

How`s the house cleaning going?  Forget how to do it after taking six years off?  Ha Ha       Clue:  Don`t expect him to shut up about it.  You hire a house cleaner to take up your slack.

Congrax on graduating and post some pics!
