I just want to take a moment to thank…(Uh-Oh… This is already sounding like an Oscar speech… so sorry) I don’t know how to do this without the “cheese factor” so I ‘m just going to do it.  I’m a little emotional and overwhelmed  because everything that I have worked for, for the past year and half has finally come to fruition and Start Up Nation, www.mompreneursonline.com and “The Mom Inventor’s Handbook” by Tamara Monosoff have had EVERYTHING to do with it!  (Ya gotta give credit where credit is due).  For those of you that know me and have been there for me from the beginning, this is going to be old news, but for ya’ll that don’t, I’m the poster child of “if SHE can do it, I can TOTALLY do it!”

I was a stay at home from Charleston, SC who one night got fed up with my husband messing up my meat on the grill.  That night the light bulb above my head was so bright, I think I single handedly guided 12 ships into the CharlestonHarbor.  I had no experience, no knowledge, no fancy degree in Entrepreneurship, and no clue!  All I had was a piece of chicken on my plate I didn’t want, 3rd degree burns on my tongue, and a stream of obscenities still lingering in the air.  Sooooo many of you have been here for me along the way and have helped me make it to this point, I just want to say thank you!

Thank you Brian (Initechwebdesign) for the fantastic website!  LOVE IT! Thank you Ashton for being there while I was trying desperately to understand sourcing in Asia while on so many pain meds from my little run in with breast cancer during such a critical time in my new little venture.  Thank you Dianne (BeachDi) for always being there by the phone and online ready to talk me down off the ledge. You have been a wonderful shoulder to lean on.  Thank you Melissa(Storybookstudio) for designing the Charms and for taking me through many a moment where I didn’t think 1/2 bottle of Chardonnay would be enough to bring me clarity.  Thank you Janene (TrendingSolutions) for being at the ready to handle all my order taking and fulfillment needs and being the most organized women I know.  I hope that your skills have worn off on me just a little.  Thank you Chris, (Entrepenerd) (Dippy Chick) for being there in PA when I woke up in a cold sweat because we were about to go to the Orpah/ QVC product search and I had just woke up from a dream that QVC had stole my product and was airing it right there on the TV claiming it was their own original invention!  Thank you Janie (Houseofjerky) for enlightening me on the ins and outs of shipping with the USPO vs. some of the other carriers.  Thank you CookieMonster for the excellent advice on pricing.  Thank you CraigL for always helping me think outside the box and Kathy for your support (and those banners, my friends were totally blown away when they got them!)  Thank you Diana (happy2beme), Cookie, Erin (stonesledge), MaryKay, Nikole, and Jeannie for always being my cheerleaders and constant positive influences.  Thanks SteveCamp, TigerTaco and Innovator7 for always making me smile (and sometimes blush) when I need it.  Thank you Alison for giving me the shot to be come back on the show for a second time to redeem myself after such a poor performance the first time around.

I could go on and on, but by my fingers just can’t take it anymore.  Bottom line, you people here (and my fellow moms at www.mompreneursonline.com) are my family, my friends, and my village.  THANK YOU!  This is such an exciting time and I what to especially thank Rich and Jeff for all you do to help to move people from “I have a great idea” to turning it into a real live product, business or service.  Thank you Rich and Jeff for providing the tools, resources, forum and platform where a small town stay at home mom can actually realize her entrepreneurial aspirations.

Okay… I’ve successfully “Started Up” …..NOW WHAT DO I DO???!!!!!

Ditto to you girl! You are so inspiring and I am so excited for the successes that I KNOW are headed your way. I can`t until you`re ready for the next design phase! You truly are such a pleasure, not only to work with but also to share our mompreneur moments. Hopefully some day soon we can share that bottle of Chardonnay to celebrate our success (and our appearances on the Donny and/or Oprah shows ;0)

Congrats on your official launch - we`re all cheering you on!!

Now what do you do? Believe me - you will have plenty to do! :) It`s great though. Congratulations, Leslie! You deserve the success you`re about to encounter. I`m so excited for you. You don`t have to thank me for hanging out with you in PA. You were such a PLEASURE to be with! I can`t wait until I move closer this summer so that we can hang more often!

Congrats again!
Chris
