Green In Color is a business I recently started; it's still in the baby stages. It is meant to be a software consulting business and education where I will help you learn how to use your computer and teach you how to use the various programs on it. As well I will help you set up home networks and fix computer problems that are software related.

I designed the website with the help of a friend of mine who is better then I am with using coding and back end management systems, for the most part it's just been me though.

The URL: www.greenincolor.com

I look forward to what you guys have to offer I am young and eager to learn from your experience.

Welcome aboard!

Well, well, well… Where do I start Cool

I think you have a little too much “green in color” going on. You have green trees, various shades of green in the header graphic, the navbar menu on the left, and the green trees that can be seen through the ‘content’ area of the site. I’m saying all this to indicate there’s entirely to many distractions taking place on your website.

Based on the services you’ll be offering, people are likely coming to your site out of frustration for not knowing how to use their computers/software. Once they land here, they’ll likely be frustrated even more by having to spend their time trying to get their ‘bearings’ straight .

The text is extremely difficult to read with the background coming through… ideally, for newbies, sticking to the basics will take you far; and in this case, black text on a white background will make everyone’s lives easier.

Header Graphic: Too much blank space there. That is a very valuable piece of real estate and you should use it to help get your point across. When a person lands on your site, your primary goal should be trying to pick-up on the dialog that’s already taking place in their heads. You want these visitors to know immediately that they’ve landed on the right website and that you’re the guy that can help them. “Green In Color” says absolutely nothing about what you provide and it's a great chance many will bounce after only seeing that portion of your site as it is now.

Content – you’re lacking this big time. Your post on this forum gives me a better idea of what you’re trying to promote than your website does. In order for people to purchase from you, you must provide them with enough information so they’re able to make an informed decision. Your website doesn't do that!

I suggest you start from scratch and work your way through again... or hire a professional to do it for you.

We, we, we...  It's all about you.  What's in it for me?  And where are you located?  This is the *WORLD* wide web and you don't provide any hint where you are.

Joomla is good for a CMS for you to manage your site, update content, etc.

The design template you've selected is not too good. As mentioned by prior people the color/transparency makes it very hard to read the text content. People will just not sick around to read anything if they can not read your site.

If you are selling consulting and education services, your site does not present a very professional appearance.

"We have now been taken off of Googles malicious website list and have moved up there search page, also I published our price list!"

Oooo... that could scare people away just saying your site was on that list.

The menu item "about green in color" justs when mouseovering it. Either widen the menu or reduce the number of words you use to avaoin the jumping.

You need a "call to action"... if you want people to contacnt you to get a quote or make an appointment - tell them that AND provide a link which makes it easy for them to contact you.

Pricing - fee plus and hourly rate... is the hourly rate prorated for less than one hour's work? If I don not know much about computers - how do I know how long it will take? Maybe have some sample scenarios with estimated times?

For my name Green In Color would it be better to have Green In Color Consulting or Green In Color Software Consulting? I realize it's subject to opinion but i just would like to know what you think sounds better in a name.
