Thanks to the great article advice on this forum.  I got an article on the high traffic area of Ezine articles. http://ezinearticles.com/?id=661103.  I have also been given expert status.  Whoowee!  Maybe now my wife won`t make me do the dishes.  Anyway, thanks for all the help.

Will the article get picked up?  Do a lot publishers use Ezine articles?

It depends on the article - yours is pretty interesting.

Who knows how articles get picked up. But yours is definitely unusual, interesting, well-written, and topical. If it`s gonna get found...it`s definitely worthy of being found. :-) All you can do is leave it up to the universe, and what happens happens.

I do, that`s who. And so do other true article marketers.

Like copywriting, website design and SEO, article marketing is a skill.

All you can do is leave it up to the universe, and what happens happens?

That`s totally incorrect. Your hard work, tenacity, creativity, article marketing skill level as well as how well-written your articles are, all determine your level of success with article marketing.

Alright, DKing makes a strong point, and I didn`t much get involved with my context. It`s certainly true that active promotion often is what brings out an article to the forefront, along with many things that sweep into the public eye.

I think what I meant, rather, is that despite superb marketing many articles or products never get picked up. Conversely, with zero marketing whatsoever, other articles and products capture the public imagination and become a huge success.

You do what you can do, including writing the article, putting it out there, using places like Ezinearticles and other places. You promote yourself, promote your visibility, and so forth. But ultimately, you do what you can do.

There`s no question that skill and work are involved. But I was sort of assuming that. Beyond the skill and the work, nobody really knows at all how come some things become a success, and other things don`t. You do the best you can.

Thanks for all the help!  You three have had some great suggestions and thanks to you maybe I`ll get a little more traffic to my site.  I`ve got more articles planned as well.

Have you looked into www.associatedcontent.com? Looks like a neat place.

Katy,

Thanks for the tip.  That looks like a great site.  By the way, I love the artwork at your website.  I think it is very cool stuff.  I teach fourth grade now, but I taught art for awhile.  Have you considered teaching any workshops on creating the art?  It might be a great way to market.  Just a thought.  I`d love to watch you make it!

Hey thanks for the vote of confidence, Mike, but I`m not the artist - my husband, Kevin does the metalwork, and painting, and building of things.  I "see" creative things in my head, but the wiring to my hands in all outta whack!

Might be neat to do a video of him crafting something....I`ll put that on my list of possibilities!

Thanks,

Debbie
