Nan,
To my knowledge, there are no grants for retired military exclusively. Your best best is to contact your local SBA Office and inquire. Typically, grants are for industries and locations that need a boost. I also read somewhere that the Fed doesn`t actually administer these grants, but pushes them down at the state level.
You can also do a search for grants, but watch out for scams. I hope this helps!

Not sure about grants, but you may want to check out Veterans Administration backed small business loans. They can be a good source.
