hello, to give you a little background. I would like to sell baking mixes cookies cupcakes etc from home. My kitchen will be getting licensed next week, hopefully. I have already called for my appointment I am working on my labels and I have the containers that the mixes will ship in. Heres the HELP part I have no recipes or have no idea where to start when it comes to the mixes.  I have seen on SUN forums something called a co packer do you think this is  the route I should take even if I am just starting in my kitchen. Are co packers for large companies. Had never even heard of co packers before I came to SUN. Do co packers create custom recipes

Could there  be companies out there who would make a custom dry recipe for me meaning the only thing the customer would have to add to the product would be the
wet ingredients milk, egg, vegetable oil etc. The only thing is that it would have to be a large mix so this way I wouldnt have to make like one mix at a time. Would anyone here on SUN have any idea how to make such mixes starting out as simple as possible. Thanks for reading

I am very excited about this project. I am also looking for someone to do my business website. My main issue are the mixes any help please. THANK YOU!!!!

Hi CaeJam,

Yes, there are absolutely companies out there who will co-pack your baking mixes for you. I happen to work for one of them. NorthWest Specialty Baking Mixes manufactures mixes for retailers across the country. We work with clients to develop custom formulas for mass production.

If this is something you are interested in, please visit our website at www.nwsbm.com. If you have any questions about our capabilities please feel free to contact us using the form on the site.

Best of luck to you in your new business endeavor!
