Hey everyone,

I'm not sharing this to brag but to encourage all the small business/ecommerce owners that if you follow google's basic SEO guide and have a decent backlink building method then you can be on the top of Google for natural search results.

My website is in the rifle scope niche (www.etacticalriflescopes.com which is an affiliate website) is on the top of Google for the following search terms:

"Tactical Scopes" (ranks without quotes also)

"Tactical rifle scopes"

Currently ranks on page 4 for the broad term "rifle scopes" ( I have not been targeting this keyword ter just yet).

It also ranks for many other keyword terms.

My site currently brings in $250+ a month in ebay commissions alone. It also brings approx $50 in adsense earnings.

It also receives over 3,800+ visitors a month and 8,000 pageviews.

The keywords "tactical rifle scopes" and "tactical scopes" have a PPC of $.97 and $.69 per click. Thats money I don't need to spend on advertising.

Imagine if your small business had this exposure. You need to find a small niche within your market, build on that, then expand and target your website for the broad terms.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Jerry

Congratulations on the success. I have watched many of my websites hit the top 10 as well and felt the same excitement. Hopefully you can keep up with the competition and keep surpassing them.

Congrats on your success. I am trying to get our small business up in the rankings. We do not have the benefit of the keyword term in our url. I think that, more than anything works best. Telecom management seems to be a pretty good key word for us.

Anyone have any thoughts on Google's sandbox and how long they want a site to mature before they give it a high placement?

Thanks.

 Hey Kevin,

I have my own SEO blueprint I implement into my websites or my client's websites.

I agree. I have been building SEO content for a while and seeing my site coming up in rankings pretty consistently.

Well done Jerry! I found a  newly published free eBook  named Hobo Google for beginners and  a SEO checklist  by  Matt McGee which lists all fundamental SEO steps followed by a short concise explanations....both quite handy and helpful.

Can you tell how many visitors per day you get from that ranking? Its easy to rank if competition is low.
