As per my knowledge Google Penguin update decrease the rank of sites which use Black hat techniques. Your site may be penalized by this update because of use of illegal techniques.
The websites which were using some of keywords fell down after penguin update. And the thing which can keep you safe is only good and fresh content on your website, changes in hyper links etc.
No changes in any direction, but the company I work with has always used very solid white hat SEO techniques, stick to what Google says it likes instead of taking short cuts and you never have to worry much about algorithm updates.
I also fell in web positioning for this update .. but I try to post articles in the press release and no change in position from page 2 to page 1. I think it's more like google backlinks from press release..
64% were hit by the Penguin update - at least, those who responded to the poll. And of those, how many recovered since the first, second and third updates? Not many!
81% said they had no recovery while 13% claim a partial recovery and only 6% claim a full recovery. That is based on over 500 responses to our poll.
I guess we await the next Penguin update to see if anyone can climb out with that one.
Keep in mind, we now have the disavow link tool which may help in this case.
