You can take a tour here.

For those not using it ... why not? It`s free and provides you with a ton of useful data on managing the marketing for your site.

I`m playing with the new features now ... totally digging it.

Also check out this awesome writeup of the top things to try in version 2.

v2 looks a lot nicer than version 1. Version 1 was fairly limited, but provided a few nice metrics.

Thanks for pointing this out. I hadn`t seen it yet and I just checked out my analytics stats!

I tend to believe that if you start using Analytics, you "somehow" end up getting indexed and ranked a bit differently....better. When we started using it, we "suddenly" started getting noticed a whole bunch. Then again...maybe it was just time to get noticed.

We like it, it`s easy to use, it`s free, and it provides us with fun conversation over wake-up caffeine. Plus it helps us get a better handle on where most of our viewing traffic is coming from. That, in turn, helps us tighten up those sources.

Craig, I wouldn`t doubt it.

Google is starting to realize it`s easier to just have people report to them than to go looking for people.
So you install Analytics code and you upload your XML sitemap. There, now you are your own Googlebot and you`re saving them the trouble.

I like the new Google Analytics but I miss the executive overview that showed where the views were coming from with the little dots on the map. I don`t know why that appealed to me but I loved the dots...

One of my favorite Rita Rudner, starts with her on stage talking about the difference between men and women. She leans over, points to a man in the front row.

She:  "Sir....what sort of car do you drive?"
He:   "Well, it`s a BMW M Series."
She: "Now sir, ask me what sort of car I drive!"
He:   "What kind of car do you have?"

She:  " ............a white one."
