I`m starting a new, very small (for now) moving & delivery service in the state of Virginia. State regs require me to have $750,000 in bodily injury and property damage insurance, and $50,000 in cargo insurance. So far, I`ve found that Geico and Progressive provide not-terribly-unreasonable rates (Progressive being slightly better), but I do this on nights and weekends and my profit margins are very slim at the moment.

So, does anyone have any experience with another, really good insurance provider? I`m sure I can do better somewhere, somehow, possibly by cutting back the types of coverage I have, but I`m very new to this. Any thoughts/suggestions would be great.

Also, I apologize if this is the wrong forum. I`m not sure where else this should go. Please advise if necessary...

Thanks much!
Chris

Heh. Thanks, but I`m not eligible. I`ll add it to the list of reasons I`m disappointed in myself for never serving in the military.

We have 21st Century/AIG and are happy with the rates ... found them to be cheaper than the ones you mentioned.

Vehicle insurance is something that differs from state to state primarily depending on taxes and regulations. If you are looking for car insurance it is better to call up an insurance company.

There are other options as well, you can choose to visit a van insurance comparison site and check out the various insurance quotes by different insurers. This is a great way to ensure that you are aware of current insurance prices.
