Have any of you ever seen the movie, Glengarry, Glen Ross?

It stars, Jack Lemmon, Al Pacino, Ed Harris, Alec Baldwin, Kevin Spacey, Alan Arkin, and Jonathan Pryce...who collectively portray seedy, foul-mouthed sales employees of a New York real estate agency.

I`ve seen that movie at least ten times. That`s how much I enjoyed it, and I could easily watch it another ten times, no problem. That`s how good that movie is.

If you haven`t seen the movie, I highly recommend it. Heck, rent it tonight!

A word of caution, if you have small children. The language in the movie is quite profane, to say the least!

I started watching it a long time ago, couldn`t make it all the way through.  To me, it was crazy boring.

What is it about this movie that you like so much to watch it that many times?  Honestly, it`s been so long ago that my only memory is that I didn`t like it.  At all.  What do you see that I didn`t?

It`s one of the creepiest movies I`ve ever seen in the "psychodramatic" genre. I hated it.

Funny, I also saw it so long ago that I barely remember it.  What I do remember though, I didn`t like it either.

But why do you like it so much?  Convince me and I might give it second try.  David Mamet is a pretty particular taste and I`ve liked some of his films.

I guess I could relate to it because of my extensive direct sales background, including my boiler room days.

Watching those great actors on screen brought back so many memories of my days as a salesman, both good memories and bad.

But it goes deeper than that. How can anyone not appreciate the brilliance of Al Pacino? And although Alec Baldwin was only on screen for a total of 10 minutes, that was arguably his greatest acting performance.

Yes, I enjoyed the movie immensely, but "different strokes for different" folks I guess.

Ah, so it holds some personal meaning to you.  That makes sense.  It`s amazing how when you can relate to something like that on a personal level, it grabs you in a way that others can`t understand.

That`s cool!

In retrospect, I probably should have considered the personal connection I have with the movie, before I recommended it to others. Obviously, not everyone is going to have that same connection.

Sorry about that.

No need to apologize, you love that movie and there`s no reason not to recommend it.  Recommendations are a personal opinion by their very nature.

Besides, I have a hard time believing that you`re the only one who likes it!

I appreciate you sharing...
