Ok I do have a face book account for personal use. I have also read someplace that Facebook will not allow you to have a second account for your business. Can anyone confirm this?
How would I go about getting a facebook page for my business.
I have actually had a number of customers ask me if I had a facebook page or a blog where I could post industry information and sales.
Any suggestions or help would be appreaciated.
Go to Facebook.com and create a business page. Business page requires you to add your business information, it allows you to invite people to join your Facebook page, It allows you to update information about your business which are visible to everyone who is the member of your page.
Facebook page is the best way to show customers our Social Network presence and it is also helpful for getting reviews of new products.

I created a business page from my existing personal account few weeks ago. How to add those users who like my page as my friends on the same business page? I do not want to add them as friends on my personal page though...
Also, I heard that social media is a good marketing media to attract more business. Sounds easy... but how to do it if I only have 100 friends in my list?

social media is a good marketing media it is true and it needs some good work.
promote your business with good social networks or the network which is related to your network.
Social media has a great set of tools, many of them are free. I think the message is what is being lost with the technology. It's great to communicate as a marketer, but you need to why you are working in social media and who you are trying to reach before you can really see and experience its potential.
As for Facebook you may also need to create an ad to build a business page.
Facebook Page is the best way to communicate your target audience and it is helpful for getting feedback of new products/services.
Having a personal page as well as starting a business page is allowed in Facebook. As a matter of fact if you don't have a personal account, in order to start a business page you need to open a personal account first. A business page is not considered a seperate account, it is merely an extension of your personal account. Having more then one personal account is what Facebook doesn't allow.
