Dear Group,
I just launched my first retail site on July 11th, www.sarongbeachwear.com. My product line is Sarongs, Clothing, Accessories and Sandals. I used one of the Yahoo! templates for merchant accounts. Not crazy about the basic aspect of it but thought it was a good place to start since I`m not well versed in HTML yet. I would like to jazz up the home page without making it too busy. I also have a question about how to effectively add relevant/reciprical links and affiliate co-promotion.

Your critque and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Brigette

Bridgette,
It definitely looks look a template. But I do like the load time and the simplistic layout.  I would look into getting some professional design help. The yahoo e-commerce platform is actually pretty powerful and expandable down the road. But you are definitely going to need some aesthetic help in my opinion if you want to stand out among the other thousands of people selling beachwear via the internet.

Hi, i agree with atonecreative that it looks like a template, although the colors and layout are nice.  Only thing was that the text on top that says "Sarong Beachwear" was really fuzzy as viewed in IE.

Good Luck!

There really should be no reason for a gif to be fuzzy. If you`re willing to give something else a try, Click Here, to see a quick header image i made to replace the fuzzy orange gradient image you have. Its simple and white, with a sans-serif font to give a nice and clean look, while blending into the background color of your heading section. And as a plus it is actually over half the file size of your existing one.

Edit: Click Here for a quick mockup of how it would look when placed into the site.

Thank you all for your comments. I will look into the design help. I have to mind my dollars right now since I have no income from this yet. I may be able to start with the Yahoo! support team and go from there.

Regarding the logo, thank you Jarrod1937 for your suggestion and sample. Is it ok if I use it now on my site? I want to make sure I don`t infringe on any creative rights.

Thanks again,
Brigette
