I will give this site a rare 10 in my book.  It loaded quickly and I understood the concept in just a few moments and had no difficulty navigating.

From a business perspective, your localization should go even further.  In the US, for example, down to the states.  I would also like to see a category for upcoming events.  I would limit it, though, to members posting their plans.  For example, later this month I will be going to watch a fireworks demo in Hew Hampshire.  I am sure that others might like to go to it also.

pretty decent site, i would tie together the site a little more with some more graphic work. Make it a little less of a template look and a custom look to your brand image.I agree with Videography that it would nice to be  able to drill down to specific events that are pertanent to me.

What is your business model on the site?

I`m with Josh. There could be a more "weekend" kind of feel to the site. Maybe colors, layout...whatever. I`m not into blogs, so I didn`t get too far into the site, but it looked easy enough to join.

These sites all are starting to remind me of that "Want to be a millionaire" game, which then went on to have a bazillion knockoffs. That, and "Survivor." Everyone is looking to build a "community" based on nothing---or at least ever downward spiraling levels of trivial stuff.

It`s true there`ll always be SOMEbody who`ll post something, anywhere. But I guess my question is where is this going? What`s the long-range goal of this site? There doesn`t seem to even be a way to capture demographic information, really.

Do you intend to make money at some point? If so, how?

Hi,

FunPiper.com went through lot of changes since last time some of which are following:

1. Look and feel
2. Positioning
3. Performance
4. Features enabled by scripting such as Post Online
5. Blog inclusion

We are working on increasing the user interactivity of the website and also include features such as image/video upload.

Thank you all very much for your suggestions. We will working on them, especially, localization.

Hi Craig,

We are innovating Weekend Planning with our portal, FunPiper.com. And, we chose micro blogging (refer twitter) as enabler of our vision. Imagine yourself planning your weekend at FunPiper.com while browsing various weekend fun posts and reading customised weekend deals/offers by various vendors at various location (revenue pitch in here through subscription).

Advertisement is other revenue model.

As we have launched around a month back, we are working on various features including localization.

Thanks for reviewing my portal. I got some valuable insight.

Okay, I think I can understand this. I don`t get the "twitter style," and assume it`s slang of some kind. But I`d think that now, at the very start of the venture would be the place and time to start building in your tie-in links.

In other words, I went again to the site, this time with a view to planning a weekend. I "looked through" what`s there, trying to see how this would eventually unfold. I understand the need for better localization, but it`s not all that important.

However, what I`d propose would be that you have at least 3, preferrably 5 fields (separate) fields for a sign-up member to fill in, where they would list their interests.

Later, as you accumulate those interests, you can build a pretty good "AND" search function, so someone could find weekends related by interest. In other words, there would be a button, "Help me plan a weekend." You`d fill out any of the blank 5 fields with your interests, and FunPiper would show you only entries of people with similar interests. See?

The capturing of interests would make sense now, even if you can`t yet implement the interactive planning phase. As they say, useful information is a terrible thing to waste. :-)

Hi Craig,

From Twitter style, I meant Micro blogging that a famous portal in US, http://www.twitter.com has adopted. Micro blogging which short message style blogging is catching up fast. And, yes, useful comments Craig. Make sense to me.

Stay tuned and let me know if you have other comments.
Thanks

Great Name. Easy to remember. First impressions of domain name, Children related E-commerce.  Then I thought, Maybe this guy is a plumber.

Website, Sorry not impressed. Looked like a template. and looks like myspace.

Your wasting the Great name and good looking logo artwork. The artwork appears to be lifted off a childrens book. So I would have a freehand artist modify the mice keeping them abstact and use them as a logo.

I`d change the weekend aspect and go for the kids.

Register the Trademark, FunPiper and the Art logo.

It appears that you have a Indian connection.

Start making childrens clothing, books, toys etc.

Dont waste this great name. Make it a brand. Make it Magic.

It made me feel good and I am 51.
