 CONFUSED. Hello start up nation people, is a great pleasure to be part of SUN. I have several projects in mind, an e-Store, promoting other people`s products, etc  BUT I found a couple of comapnies that offer FULLY  READY, websites just to be promoted, for a newbie, sounds great , lack of $$ + lack of experience, BUT I`d would like to get some INFO before, personal experiences, PLEASE guys, Would be deeply appreciated , any bit of info.

A little more information would help.

When you say "FULLY  READY, websites" do you mean the packaged websites like yahoo stores or other "make you own websites" offerings?

If so, those do work, but there are trade-offs. You usually are stuck with the web host (can not move to another), there may be some design and lay out limitations...etc.

I`m guessing (by the title) it means packaged software, out of the box.

Disadvantages: generic, lack of branding, other sites that look just like yours, no differentiation in the services provided.
Advantages: saves GREATLY on coding expenses.

Can you go halfway? Find a modifiable packaged software that you can change and brand to make it your own?

I`m shocked !  , about the quick help with your tips, TX  a lot !

These websites are totally ready to be published, ( free) and my part is to generate traffic, ( that is going to be a real challenge ), the co. offers several themes, the one I selected is based on the big profits that the online casino industry is making ( globally on the billions) How does this works, the site is ready for ANY person to place a  bet on the traditional casino games, I mean, once they are registered, they can ACTUALLY play trhough my site.

Is very professional looking, it has all the protection for the player,to feel confident and secure, I see it, is a very good looking site.

Disadvantages: GENERIC ( I understand) I can NOT do ANYTHING to the site, even though is "my" site, I agree Nikole,  and since CONTENT is KING,

to achieve success, I`m  very limited there.

Advantges: Is a great vehicle(at my level ) to generate income, How much ?Is going to be a challenge, I know, I will use it as a learning vehicle, to aply all

the ways to generate traffic (focusing on  FREE ways ) so in a few words:

The site is totally functional, is ready = zero cost

Traffic, I` ll  try any idea or resource to generate free traffic.This would help me on my big project, litlle by little (and with formal courses) to become an expert in genereting traffic to my future sites. I have a feeling that this could work, with the right guidance & using mainly free resources, (I mean the market is HUGE).

I`ll appreciate your time, IF you please,can  give me your opinnions, I realized, now,

that you`re experts on your areas, and believe me is my privilege to have your guidance.

IF anybody, in this fine community, is using these kind of websites, IF  somebody is already getting results, Can you share some tips ?

I think that online dating needs more differentiation than online casinos. I mean, you go to Vegas, and all the casinos look the same ... are you looking at which ones have specific machines? Not really, you`re just mindlessly gambling.

That being said, the competition in advertising for online gambling must be huge. So even if you spend nothing on the site, you may end up spending as much as you would have to program your site, but only this time in advertising fees like banners and paid search engine listings. Remember, you are competing with a lot of places, and with no real differentiation. Who ever has the biggest advertising budget usually wins in that scenario.

 

I`ve been thinking about it all afternoon, I see clearly all the negative points,and may end up, in lot of time  & effort on this project and minimal results, 

I`m leaning toward, skipping this little idea, and focusing on my personnal project., I appreciate your input.

I don`t want to abuse of your time,BUT -being new,-    and I`m hungry for ideas & ways to improve my lifestyle,  Can you share your toughts on

 affiliate programs ? promoting other people`s products ?

Have you ever done this?   Every BIG company is using this system to promote their businesses, so I`m thinking this is a  real good oppo. for people with strong marketing  skills.

Anybody already being a member of a affiliate program ?

I don`t know what kind of program you are talking about ...

the only ones I am familiar with are using content to drive affiliate sales, like having links to amazon products.

 

The Affiliate Programs are a way to promote the products of companies like

BUY.com, they pay a commission to webmasters that are willing to add a link into their web  site, IF they have a lot of traffic,visiting their webs, visitor can click on the link, IF they buy anything, the webmaster makes a commission.

As I mentioned, every company, relies deeply on these programs, for marketing purposes,    is a win -win situation, if the webmaster generates a lot of traffic..      

Can you share some more about the content program that you mentioned ?

Well you have to have some way to get people in. So you use content to drive traffic. A lot of bloggers use affiliate systems to pay for their site.

We are talking about the same system, just different views of it.

Well, I do have years of experience as an online casino affiliate.

So here goes...

What you want to Feature in these Websites

• Loaded with content where people can learn how to gamble online among other things.
• A well put together design with easy navigation.

 

You will never need to stock any inventory with this site.  In other words, you will never need to ship anything.  People visit your site, click on a affiliate link, then if they gamble or buy the product or service, you make money.

 

Oh yea, and make sure every page is search engine optimized! 

 

However, for the first few months you have the task of getting players to sign up.... DON`T GIVE UP! It`s worth the effort.
