Free Conference Call - How does it work?

I am researching Conference Call Bridge companies.

I have come across a number of companies offering free conference calls, including MP3 recordings for up to 250 callers.

How can they do this?

What is the catch?

Any advice?

Ric, believe it or not, there is no catch. These companies make their money from rebates they receive from the the telephone companies that host their conference servers. The rebates are based on the number of people who participate in the conference call. The more participants there are, the higher the rebates.

That being said, all companies are not created equal. So make sure that you do your due diligence in checking out these companies before you make a commitment.

Thank you, Dale. As always, you are a fountain of knowledge.

But as I have found out by being disadvantaged by buying the Pro Version of 1ShoppingCart and having it still not working three months later and paying a so-called expert to make it work only to have her screw it up worse - doing due diligence is pretty hard and ineffectual from Australia.

Anybody had any positive experiences and willing to recommend a particular service?

Ric,

We use http://www.freeconferencecall.com/ a whole bunch. It works great. There is no catch. Very good service.

They hope you will eventually purchase some of their other services. There never solicit. No pressure.

Free conference calls does not cost these companies much and they charge it from call providers, thats y these are free.

There is a conference access number and also a PIN code. Setting up is very easy and fast, just for 5 minutes. After you sign up you will receive the access number and the PIN on your e-mail and you will be ready to start conferencing. You can make a free conference call from PC, mobile or landline all over the world, where you have network coverage.
