WoW...

There are few great ideas coming up here. Craig, I support you for creating a new thread where we all can share our business ideas which goes to recycle bin very often.

Ya, the children parties are stale and out of date. Something like involving defense and making feel between the children about soldier’s life can get some excitements.

The grill trainer idea is great. I`ve had so many occasions where my BBQ didn`t come out right. I`m sure dozens of people have that problem...

Have you had some other "trainer" ideas similar to that?

I think there are a number of opportunities here specially in the home improvement/lifestyle areas. Just look at how popular the "do it with help" style programs are on HGTV.

I could see other trainers such as "Gardening Trainer", "Chef Trainer", "Home Improvement Trainer", "Parenting Trainer", and others.  Key is helping people get a sense of accomplishment for mastering something they couldn`t do before.

Hey, all ya gotta do is look at the popularity of Startup Nation, which is an online "training and help" business. :-)

Here`s another freebie: "The Lemonade Stand" board game for ages 7 years old and up.

It`d be a board game, initially providing everyone with a basic street corner, pitcher, 1 month of lemons, 1 month of water (and ice), and 1 month supply of sugar.

Their job would be to parlay that lemonade stand into a national franchise. :-)

Craig:

At first I didn`t like your idea, sounded too much like an easy out for the overextended parents who don`t  pay enough attention to their children, but then I saw the parlay into a national franchise..nice, an entrepreneur in the making.

Here is my idea...since I am a recruiter I see a lot of resumes from recent college grads applying for admin positions. With the cost of a college education where it is, these grads should be thinking about different career choices. Although I am in the engineering field, I know what hiring managers are looking for and therefore I can put this in a nice package. I am now trying to determine do I market to the parent/child while the student is in high school or freshman year college. Do I market to the high school and college? Some of my thoughts and questions.
