Hi - I am looking to connect with Foodies and Wine Folks who may be interested in or are currently conducting email and ezine and blog campaigns for their writing/products. I am a Virtual Assistant and have experience using these items for Coaches and I believe it is a great business model for Foodies and Wine Folks as well. I am not looking to "sell" you anything - I`m just looking for ideas and feedback as to whether there is a market for this and, if so, where I could look for clients.

Thank you!

Kate LaFrance

I read this 3 times and I`m still confused on what you are asking for.

Can you rephrase? (Am I just not getting it?)

Are you looking for Food/Wine bloggers? Or potential Food/Wine writers? Or ??

Sorry!

I want to work with wine and food people. I don`t want to pressure anyone - I just want some info on whether anyone thinks there is a niche for this or not. Are people doing these things now? Are people who are just starting out looking for help with these things? Does anyone have any ideas for me on other places to connect with these people.

That`s all.

Hope that`s better?

Thanks!

Katie

Hi Leslie - Cool Product! (Have you told Faith Middleton of WNPR`s Food Schmooze about it?)

I see you`ve got a great website. Do you do any "outreach" marketing? Like send a newsletter to your website visitors? Why or why not? And, if you do, how does it work for you? Do you do it yourself?

Also, is there another website discussion place where you congregate with other foodies - one that I could access?

Thanks!

Katie

Hi Katie, thanks!  Right now I am still knee deep in "manufacturing", so much so that I have not marketed my product at all.  I`m actually afraid to at this point (which I`m not sure is the "right" decision, but it`s what I`m comfortable with right now)  as I don`t want to create demand and not be able to supply it.  Once I have my first production run in my hot little hands, I`ll get out there and turn on the marketing.  Just fyi www.discusscooking.com has an entire forum called  "outdoor cooking forum" with 5 different subcategories.  That`s were the grillers go  There are tons of other fantastic Grilling and  BBQ related sited, too many to list, but that`s where I hang out.   Obviously I`m all about the grillin

Hi - I have been lurking around SUN for about 6 months to add comments here and there about my Virtual Assistant business. Recently, I came to the conclusion that if I need to find a niche - I want it to be Food and Wine! (they say to pick something you`re passionate about) So, I am wondering if any of you do blogs, ezines, websites, etc. to market yourselves? If so, how do you get it done? If not, would you ever consider doing these things?

I tried to post this in another topic but didn`t get very many responses so I apologize if you`ve already seen this.

Thank you!

Kate

I remember the previous post. The problem was that it really didn`t ask anything specific. To my mind, there`s no relationship between a VA and "food and wine." I think that confusion is what led to limited responses.

On a deeper level, it may be that you yourself are confused? If you see a relationship between VA and "food and wine," what`s that relationship? Can you describe it? If on the other hand, you`re saying you`d like to abandon the VA business and concentrate on something altogether different in the food and wine business, what does that mean?

Yeah, I was confused the first time - still confused now.

If I`m getting this straight, you want to be a VA for people in the food/wine biz, to do their blogs for them?

Or ... oh heck, I don`t know, I was just taking a stab at it.
