With first impressions being so important we would like your opinion of our first page.  Is it enough to get you to continue looking and eventually to buy?

We sell a Patent Pending Sandal / Flip Flop that is new to the market.  This is why we need the first page to show exactly what our sandals do.

Yes, the page was interesting enough to look further because it`s an idea that I hadn`t seen before.

A minor spelling issue in your FAQs, "Wholesale" is one word.

You are not completely correct about the meaning of "Patent Pending", and I don`t see the need to slap the viewer in the face with it.  I don`t know what you are more proud of, your product or that you`ve applied for a patent.  A simple notice at the bottom of the home page is all that you need to defend your idea.  I don`t see what it adds to your product for the purposes of individual sales.

The prices seem quite high.  You need an `about us` page to explain why.  Is there something special to the starting stock that adds to the value?  Other than the message cutout, what is so special about these FF`s?

You really do need to accommodate the individuals who want their own message.

Thank you Steve.  I have made the changes you suggested with the exception of the about us page.  I will have to do that later.

Yup, on both counts: It sells and explains the idea, and has me wanting to click for more. (The photos could be brighter, but they work fine for now.) :-)

Cool idea.  One comment.  At the bottom, you say "New products" and they are already on sale.  That doesn`t make any sense to me.  Why would you discount new products?  That sends a very negative marketing message.  Drop that and have a "Bargain Cave" for items you need to have on sale and don`t call them new, even if they are.

"Patent Applied For" or "Patent Pending." These phrases have no legal effect, but only give information that an application for patent has been filed in the Patent and Trademark Office.

The
protection afforded by a patent does not start until the actual grant of the patent.

I`m working wiith a client who has something awaiting a patent. He was advised not to launch the web site I`m creating until the patent is granted. My impression is that showing the product before such time could provide your competition with a leg up on you. Other companies can continue to produce similar products right up until the official patent is issued and the markings on the patented product are changed.

Sorry I was playing with the sale features of the shopping cart, but you are correct and I have removed it.

Thank you,

Nice ... love the product.

I think you should have it how you have it ... explain the product.
But it could use a bit more zip and simplicity.

Like 2 pics, side by side but overlayed ... one has a big 1 on it, the other a big 2 ... 1st says "Wear your Tanz" 2nd says "Enjoy your tan!"
Or something like that.

Less words. More fun/easy appeal. A big star thing that says "Variety of Designs!" or "Over 100 Design to Choose from!"

These pages are a bit annoying but look at the easy and exciting way in which they display the products:

First page explains it well.I think it`s a cute idea.  If you get them in the right market, I think the bride and groom flip flops will sell like crazy.  A popular `brides to be`  San Diego forum might be a great place to advertise. It`s bridalinsider.com.  My Daughter got married recently and many gals on that forum were purchasing the flip flops that left that impression in the sand. But, how fun to have it imprinted on your foot!

Hawaii should be a great market too.

As far as the pricing Steve mentioned, maybe you could talk a little  about the quality of the shoes too.

Good luck with your product,
Janie

You are so right.  Thank you and I used your idea for the front page if that is OK.  I added a section of "thanks" at the bottom of the page and put you there for your idea.
