Does anyone know where I could find and recruit a software engineer that is willing to work with me for a stake in my company?

Should I start w/ job boards? Freelancers on guru.com? The problem with those sites are those are simply freelancers. I need to find someone who wants to be partners in a business as opposed to collecting a paycheck.

Really appreciate the help!!

Have you tried posting on the job boards at any univerities?  You might find some interested parties there.

Sometimes it can be difficult to hammer out a partnership agreement. You should also consider a collaboration, instead of a business partner.

You may be able to find a Micro-ISV that will develop the software for a piece of the revenues. I've done that in the past and it works great. The ISV handles the development and technical support of the product. You handle sales and customer relations.

Have any good referrals you could pass along?
