Hey nation,

I'm going around my life trying to find certain problems or pain points. The only problem is that I'm having trouble finding problems I can turn into a profitable business.

So my question to you is what problems are you facing everyday? Do YOU have any pain points in your life that you wished could be fixed or streamlined?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave,

It's a good question and I'm wondering why people haven't jumped all over this post.

At the moment my next door neighbor is being a pain and needs to be taken out to the woodshed, but I don't think that's what you're referring to.

Talking to enough qualified prospects in my niche is always a problem. Getting enough people to my blog and having them get on my list is another. Pretty basic stuff.

I think a lot of people want to feel fulfilled and satisfied in their lives and their work. But, that doesn't happen much. Most are grateful to have a job, let alone live a life of passion. I'm looking for people who want to live a life of passion but haven't identified it yet. That's where I can help with their pain.

Regards,

RICK

Thanks Rick!

I'll look into your suggestions- I like the idea of finding qualified prospects for bloggers.

Thanks again,

David

I think a successful marketing campaign is a sore spot for a lot of startups. Many smaller startups don't have the budget for a heavy-duty PPC campaign, or time to devote to SEO.

That said, identifying a problem and providing a (profitable!) solution is what every startup SHOULD be doing.

@illbzo1

Thanks for the advice. I also like the idea of helping other startups with marketing, but I think it would be smart to gain some firsthand experience with marketing one of my startups first.

Pay particular attention to negative feedback. One common mistake of entrepreneurs is to filter out everything but the most positive comments. It will cost you much less time and money to fix a problem in the prototype stage than to make changes when you're already in production.

Dave,

Do you have any previous experience in helping fix things? What is your background that will qualify you in helping people fix things that need help. If you are going to want to attract customers, you need to be offering them something that will make them feel confident in choosing you to help them, otherwise you will have a difficult time. Also are you planning on targeting a specific kind of thing, or you're just open to anything. You will have a much easier time if you focus on something specific, as people can look at you as an expert in that, instead of something general where people will turn away from.
