Hi One and All :)

Finally I`m ready (took a lot longer than I ever thought, but then again, I`m a "one man band" writing this site :) )....

psychicbazaar.com

My web site is offering psychic consultations over the internet via chat and email formats. My target market is going to be people who do believe in something other than or in addition to "mainstream" religion, but don`t want to heed the calls of other psychic web sites ("You should use me, I`ve been talking to animals since I was three, and angels (and demons) since I was seven!").

Any comment would be appreciated :) Thanks :)

Peter, I looked at your site. Very nice...

Some of the links didnt open up for me on the left side I guess you are still working on them.  On the bottom the word "thier" should be "their".

(copied & pasted below)

A place for truly psychic people and metaphysical shops to build a reputation and a business based on thier own efforts."

Good luck

I dabble myself in Tarot so I was interested in what you had going on here on your website... All looks good, but I like to "see" a more Etherial theme on the pages... not tacky... but it`s too business "like" to me. A mix of worlds eh?

It`s awesome to that you use your gift! John Edwards (pyschic not politician) is the psychic I like to look up to.

Success to you!

Thanks Concierge :)

I get stuck on that one every time...still trying to get that through my thick skull :) Unfortunately...it`s really hard to see your own mistakes when you think that you`re right :/

Thanks Kristine,

Actually, I`ve been aware of that challenge for a little while now, but haven`t had the time and bandwidth to address it quite yet. That "ethereal" look would be really nice, but I`m afraid of coming across as "just another smarmy psychic website". And what is "ethereal" to one is "smarmy" to another. I had to err on the side of caution for now :/ Thanks for the reminder though :)

Hi Peter,

Congratulations!  It`s always exciting to get it going.  Some things I found that might need some tweeking:  Your top line of links appears to cut off some of the titles.  For example, "The Psychics"  shows up as

1 he Psychics.  Perhaps the words should be a hair smaller or the band a hair wider.

Some of the links on the left did nothing . . . but you might  be working on that.  Down farther where you state some costs for readings, the left side is cut off completely.  Indent it further, otherwise it reads:

0 minutes  $60.00   (nice fee for 0 minutes!)

I like the color scheme.  For your merchant account -- if it isn`t already complete, you might want to look at Paypal.  Your customers can use their credit cards or their Paypal account to pay you and there is no monthly fee for you.

I would be tempted to make your picture a bit larger, put it in the middle and put your services around it as though they are emanating from you (that`s just a thought).  Make those "services" links to your other pages or to boxes that show up listing the costs.  Then go into the rest of your info as written.  This way the viewers get the important info quickly but in a subtle way.

Please take a look at my site www.YourSoothsayer.com.  Perhaps we can be of mutual benefit to each other.  We should at the very least link up!  Email me at my website:  TheBoss@YourSoothsayer.com.

I wish you much success quickly!

Hi Jill,

Thanks..will be in touch shortly... As an aside...I wrote my site in Mozilla and have been meaning to get the bugs out of IE... That being said...I have to redo the wording of (in some cases much of) the text for SEO purposes.

Thanks Again and All Good Things :)

Hi,

My only issue is the 3 links "Login", "Logout" and "Register" all appearing on the nav bar, whether or not the user is logged in. This can be confusing, especially if you`re switching from tab to tab. How about this:

Login / Register --- (when user is NOT logged in)

Logout (only!) (when user is already logged in)

And,oh, is this really "For Entertainment Purposes Only" as your footer says? I get a different impression from your "About" page. (Now I don`t live in the US, and I don`t know if you`re required by law to display that information).

Hi George,

I`m sorry it has taken so long to respond, there weren`t any more replies after awhile and I`m trying to work on my company "and have a life" :/

Hmmm...I never thought of it that way.... I think I can do that...I`m going to be changing the upper navbar in a week or so anyway to accommodate a new service. In the new navbar, it will say "Login" until you are logged in and "Log Out" when you aren`t. The rest I will need to hash out as room in the navbar will be at a premium :)

Yeah..."For Entertainment Purposes Only" is probably required by law here in the US. You wouldn`t think it but, I couldn`t get any general liability insurance for my company. The guy that I talked to did some checking and he said he couldn`t find even one company to underwrite an "error by omission" insurance policy. My biggest fear is that one of my staff might say: "It`s okay to date him." and he winds up being an axe murderer. Then the next of kin sue my company for $12 million dollars a wrongful death case.

Because there isn`t any licensing or regulation in the psychic industry, he got the impression that these companies simply write one HELL of a legal clause and hide behind that :/ I don`t make the rules, I just follow them :/

Thanks again,

Peter

Peter --

Surely you jest . . . re:  have a life.  Actually, it`s very important to keep perspective, although it`s tough to make it a reality!  It`s all about that "life planning" part.
