don`t feel hurt. they don`t care about you. make them care about you. once they do, and they give you the boot, then you can be bummed.

but my guess is, they won`t give you the boot at all. if they do, it won`t be for reasons you should take personally.

wow them.

Okay, I`ll let you know how I do. I`ll try to call tomorrow first thing. Thanks for caring!

During our interview the other day with a freelance reporter for a local business paper (which went very well, thank-you) I told her about  StartupNation and the online community. The camaraderie and encouragement during the emotional roller coaster ride that is entrepreneurship. This is just the sort of thing I was talking about.

I know this is a business for Jeff and Rich and the StartupNation team, but I believe it is so much more to everyone involved. To turn a chiasmus on the Apprentice tagline:

It`s not just business: it`s personal.

Steve,

Glad to know that the interview went well! You`ll have to post the article so we can see!

And I agree with what you said about SUN.

Okay, I called the buyer and she wasn`t in so I left a message on her voice mail. Hopefully I`ll hear back soon, but if not I`ll keep calling. I`d just really like some feedback. I gave my cell number so I don`t miss the call. (I`m not always in my office to answer calls that come in here.)

Thanks for all of your support, peeps!

on any future message, make sure you make mention of any important progress reports or press hits. always show momentum and create urgency - everytime.

not obnoxiously, but confidently.

great job.

Rich,
I did mention in my initial letter that I had some big press coming up, and that this is a good time to carry Dippy Chick products. (I`m being featured in a Family Circle magazine article this winter as a mompreneur! 6 million readers!) I said "I would love to send those people to your stores".

Well guys, I got a message from CB and it turns out the buyer left the company??!! Another person is taking over for her. She said that my stuff didn`t fit their "current theme" but invited me to resubmit next year. I intend to call her back and find out if there`s anything I can create to fit their theme. She said that I was welcome to call her for more info. I`ll keep you posted!

You mean to tell me they have a "current theme"? It always looks the same to me.

Keep at it Chris!

You haven`t failed until you quit trying.
