It depends on how you will generate revenue. Will the traffic be large enough to warrant a advertising model or will the website sell the polished ideas as market research reports? However, you never know unless you try it.

The idea is interesting, I feel as though you'd be selling yourself short by participating in the concept, however. If you have an idea, and business savvy/sales experience/know how and where to pitch for funding- bring it to fruition yourself.
I see the individuals who started that site "ideaarchitects".... rather cunning, as the right idea is invaluable, and i'm sure they have already come across a few....
I want access to their data....
Hi Jeff,
This is my first visit in awhile. Work and travel have taken up a ton of time this year, and going over some of the threads, your post caught my eye.
I have been working on a similar concept for over a year now, although I was trying to incorporate more collaboration. Similar to a social networking site, but made up of "idea creators". Members would participate in the whittling, molding, and fine-tuning of the business idea. Collaborative participation that builds personal investment in the idea. The revenue model varies - I've looked at monthly subscription, member investments in an idea, etc. The idea would then be put into reality through the subscription monies or investments and profits would be shared with all that participated.
Ideaarchitechsonline is an interesting concept, but rather sneaky, as they collect unique business ideas and give the submitter $50 - basically building an intellectual property vault off other people's ideas.
My concept was that the idea doesn't have to be unique or a "killer product". It could be an existing product that could be improved upon, a niche product, etc. It could also be one-off ideas (such as seasonal or holiday ideas that are cheap to produce and sell - think red-white-blue glow sticks and necklaces during the 4th of July). In addition to the business idea generation, expertise from various avenues would be included in the process (sales, manufacturing, distribution, marketing, etc.). These could be invited industry experts, members with expertise, or partnerships with companies that work in these industries.
I created a blog back in 2008 outlining the theme of what I was putting together. The URL is http://groupinnovation.wordpress.com/. Shortly thereafter, I created the groupinnovate.com domain. No website yet, as I worked on the business and revenue models. Lack of web design experience and my regular job/travel kept me from getting the pilot off the ground. But the plane is still in the hanger, so to speak...
I certainly would be interested in discussing your (and my) concepts in further detail. If you're interested, please feel free to email me at lmn0b@yahoo.com.
Looking at your profile, your website shows www.urbaneyecareonline.com. Did you develop their website?

Hi Jeff,
I changed my profile name to something a little more legible. If you click on my original post profile name (lmnob), it shows "unavailable", due to the name change.
Hope to hear from you soon.
