Hi all... we just finished our 2008 Media Kit and I would love some feedback if anyone has the time to have a look.

Check it out at http://www.adtoll.com/media/adtoll_media_kit.pdf

Hi Dan :-) It looks really great in terms of layout! I`d suggest a copyeditor to proof the grammatical and syntax errors, but it`s easy to read and makes the point. Easy to read, and puts a lot of information into the document.

Hi,

What do you want to accomplish with this media kit?  Right now it looks more like a sales kit.  A traditional PR media kit should be easier to read, easier to pick through the information and typically consists of :
  • most recent press release (the news)
  • company backgrounder
  • Owner/founder/CEO bio
  • Company/product fact sheet
  • Tipsheets
  • Copies of past media accomplished
  • etc.
I like what you`re trying to accomplish but remember that journalists don`t have a lot of time so whatever you deliver to them to present your business should be fast to read and easy for them to find exactly what they`re looking for (typically a press release) immediately.   I think you can use a similar format but give them the option to click on and go directly to parts of the press kit that interest them.

Best,
Jennifer

Thanks guys... yes in a sense it is kind of a sales kit and media kit in one so trying to accomplish both within the same kit.

We have already used this kit to present to interested parties and it has been received very well.

Hi Dan,

I agree with Craig and Jennifer. In order to increase sales and awareness quickly, it may be worth it to take the extra time to create a sales kit and a separate media kit. This way, you can give the targeted audiences you are going after (for different reasons) exactly what they need-fast!
