I`m look for anybody that can share their experience with a human resource outsourceing firm. It seems that these type of firms (like paychex.com) are one of the only way for a small business or startup to really afford health insurance as part of a larger group plan.
Any experience or recommendations good or bad would be welcomed. One of my only hang ups right now is affordable insurance.
What would you consider to be affordable health insurance? Dollar amounts, specifically over a particular period.
I would say that affordable would be in the $350/$500 per month range, for my entire family (wife and kid). Of course wouldn`t we all like it cheaper and of course that is all but variable simply based on the options that are available in the insurance, coverage, deductible, etc (which I`m pretty sure they make really confusing just because they can).
The reason I
asked is because I know Blue Cross Blue Shield began offering plans for
self-employed individuals and their families, where they created a
virtual "group" of micro business owners. I also know there are some
other insurance groups targeting the small business and self-employed
market, as it`s such a growing area.
Do you need experience with HR outsourcing, which would mean leasing
contract employees for something like X-Ray techs, or are you looking
for a way to cover yourself with insurance only?
