We've recently had a re-design on our site done by myself the founder of EvraLive.com, I'm just really here to show it off, get some creative criticism etc.

We are a Web Design company based in Nottinghamshire in the UK, recently formed in January of this year.

Hi,

First thing I noticed is that your logo is too big, it pushes all the other important information below the fold.

Second, all your pages have the same rotating samples and the four steps below it, then you have the main content. Your main content should be higher, place it above the fold.

Also, as a web designer your should already know that it's hard to read white text on a black background, so you might want to take a look in to that.

I disagree with the white text on a black background, it can work, you just have to be mindful of contrast:

Is my site and i think the white on black works very well. Though i did have to lower the whites brightness, otherwise the contrast was too much.

However, i do agree that the main header is too large, use that area for the more important functions like the interface or your actual content.

Ah well you see I wanted to break away from the same old sites that fill there website with useless content, I wanted to show off the design side of websites so, with a nice colour background, big banner then content below this does that quite well!

Thinking outside of the box is nothing to be ashamed of!..

The content background is not black either, it's a dark grey with white text and I havent had any complaints about finding it hard to read!

Also the Logo is our main branding so making sure people see it and recognise it is a big thing for us. The bigger the better I always say!
