I suppose there is only one way to introduce myself and that is to jump right into it!

Hey guys my names Sean i`m 20 years old and from little old New Zealand

Going green and being sustainable is becoming such a big thing in the world and for as long as I can remember I`ve been interested in things relating to it. Although I have no formal qualifications in the area I have made it my mission over the last couple of years to become somewhat of an expert on the issue.

Do you think there would be a market for someone like me consulting out to small local businesses Doctors/Lawyers/Restaurants/Schools ie.  to help them make the transition towards aiming for a more sustainable future?

I look forward to interesting discussions with you all and contributing to this wonderful forum!

Thanks

Sean Green

(Yes thats my real last name :P)

There are definitely opportunities, but you have to remember, most people just care about the bottom line. If you can find a way to show them how going green can increase productivity and/or reduce costs, you`ve got a winner. If you just want to show them how to be more green, they may not care.

A vertical market would be to approach VENDORS of green products and work with them to market their products to your targets. May be easier to find a way to make it cost-effective for businesses who are interested in transitioning.
