I`m curious if any of you have either started your own business to serve a niche in politics, or have heard of any interesting politically oriented startups.

Anyone?

I recently completed a political fellowship and attended an educational political workshop series.  Both bipartisan educational programs brought in fundraiser experts and reknown media specialist to discuss various aspects of fundraising, budgeting, and the aspects of getting an issue or candidate message out.  The services these experts offered ranged from consultation, event planning, printer services, television/radio media services, research/statistical analysis, and many other issue/candidate campaign services.   My point is there are start ups which address political niches and many started through volunteerism which lead to opportunities.

Is there anyone among us who serves any of these niches, or others? Seems like a mother lode of opportunity.

Funny you should ask that, that just what I am doing now. A few years ago I installed a WIFI system for a school, then two more followed. Now I am working with a several local community groups to do computer training and business development training. It a market that is usually not touched because of the long wait to get paid cycle. But if you train them how to really take advantge of technology and the internet as a way to make local Chamber of Commerce or Econonmic Development Center that`s what I am working on now better equip the community they serve then you got a nice market that pays and more input into new business who will look on you as the expert in the community.
