While listening to one of many podcasts, the site www.kiva.org was referenced.  Wow, what an amazing site.  This organization helps fund entrepreneurs in developing countries with small loans.  Kiva partners with existing microfinance institutions to provide the funds to the businesses.

You can look through the people and their businesses and start helping people $25 at a time.  The idea is like with any loan, is that the funds are repaid.  Where these types of loans differ is that there’s no requirement to pay interest.  Kiva actually has a repayment rate of 100%. Exceptional given the nature of the loan business!

This is how it works:
After going to Kiva.org, you can look through the various entrepreneurs and you can read more about their businesses.  Along with the profile, you will see how much money has been raised for their loan and you can make your donation via PayPal.  Kiva transfers the funds to its partners for local distribution.  The partner collects repayments and finally the funds are returned to the lender (you).  Then you can do the whole thing again!

It’s a wonderful way to “pay it forward” and to give back to society.  I really think that SUN as a whole should get involved with this organization.

I have known about kiva.org for a while now and I decided right when I launched my business that I would fund a business on there at the same time.  I fully funded a loan for a woman in Kenya and she has started partially paying back the loan.  I like this idea quite a bit because you`re helping people start, maintain and grow their business and they are self sustaining.  I also felt it would be good karma for me and my business to anonomously help someone, more or less, in the same situation as me!

Stay tuned...coming soon

I`m new member. I recently came across a movie that has significantly shifted my paradigm.

Watch The Secret Movie. It can change your life.
The Secret Movie  is a thought-provoking documentary-style movie about manifesting and how to use The Law of Attraction to create whatever you want in your life.

The Secret movie helps you understand just how important it is to consciously choose the thoughts you hold each day; to keep your thoughts and actions focused on what you really want to attract into your life. It is all up to you. Take charge of your thoughts, and you`ll take charge of your life.

Now watch it online For Free While it is Still Available.
