Interesting comments above. I also agree with Katherine (nice name, spelled the same as mine) that I don`t feel lonely in the traditional sense.

I work alone alot and while there are times that it can get lonesome most of the time I am fine.  I am passionate about the work that I do and I don`t even notice. I get caught up and then look at the clock and realize that hours have gone by. Also having a nice radio station on is relaxing to me.

I think that if you don`t like what you do then it could get difficult. I also remember the days dragging when I was "working for the man". I certainly couldn`t go back.

I agree with Craigl that we should have regular business hours but I also know that it usually dosen`t end up that way.

Good point CraigL ........ I am not alone in my area of expertise or experience, however, I am alone in the effort of my cause.  I am trying to get my website out there to those in the big world who may be able to help me with my cause.  Please see my bio & website for further info & let me know your thoughts and/or opinions, or suggestions.

Hey there, Bailey... :-) One suggestion on the Web site, there isn`t enough contrast between the pink background and the text color. I`m not sure, but I think the colors are associated with cancer-awareness ribbon colors? That might be nice, if so, but it doesn`t make it easy to read the site. I`d like to also see a larger point-size.

But that`s under the Web critique topics. I think anyone who`s trying to get money from donations is going to be more alone than say, those who are selling a product. I`d also say that people selling a low-priced product will typically be less alone than those selling a high-end product.

There`s a relationship between how much money we`re asking the customer to part with, and the degree of isoalation during the startup and initial phases of a business, I think. Particularly with a foundation or other not-for-profit, there isn`t usually going to be a large number of "employees" involved.

Thx CraigL.....I will play around with the contrast between the pink background and the text color. I`m also working on a larger point-size, as well.  The alone factor, for me is definitely different than those selling products, however, once this takes off, I think all that will change.  Thx again.
