Hey guys! I`m glad you all like this thread. I see it being done in other forums I have belonged to and thought it might be a fun way to sort of put our short term goals in writing.

I have so much stuff to accomplish this week...
1. get my graphic files to my printer for the dip mix header cards
2. find part time day care for my little guy for fall
3. call the ceramics company I`ve been working with about making custom branded serving ware
4. develop a couple of new products and flavors
5. fill out my 4-y-o`s health card and admit him to preschool for the fall
6. send out samples to several stores
7. come up with an information packet for celiac groups requesting samples
8. look into celiac charities for donations of percentage of proceeds
9. email Amazon about why the speaker I ordered is taking 3 weeks to get here (grrrr)
10. finish logos for a couple of people
11. update Quickbooks with my latest spending
12. fill orders
Oh, there`s more, so I`d better get off here and get crackin`! Have a great day everyone!

Happy End of July!

I scrapped with about half a dozen ScrapBiz Members this weekend.  I tell ya`, when things are feeling down, find a way to connect with other entrepreneurs and talk about business!  We not only had fun (and cheesecake), but we got to talk about biz while we were scrapping.

This week I am:

  1. Getting my hair cut before I pull out the dull scissors and do it myself
  2. Working on my "win a biz" contest for our 4th anniversary in September (anyone had a list of GOOD contest rules??)
  3. Updating my member business locator
  4. Back up my hard-drive (which I don`t do NEARLY enough)
  5. Getting the husband ready for our youth group Pioneer Trek (which I`m NOT going on ).  He gets to push a handcart for 25 miles in pioneer clothing  and 95 degree heat - so glad I`m NOT going...

Everyone have a great and successful week!

My weekend  was good, even though I didn`t get to work on my businesses.  Oh well, I guess ever once in a while you have to do the honey-do-list  and forget about working.  So, obviously it wasn`t relaxing since I was doing a lot of home projects.

To do list -
1. post article to Ezines
2.  blog
3.  figure out how to get sales
4.  check Yahoo ads
5.  go through my emails I haven`t gotten around to reading

Hope everyone accomplishes their list.

Chris - it`s late - but it`s still Monday, July 31st, so I guess I made today`s Roll Call.

Weekend: Never had a bad one (at least not since mid-`85). When you work every one for 13 years, when you finally get to a point to have weekends off, you cherish `em. Plus, I woke up on Saturday and Sunday and yep, Monday, too. Pretty good days right out of the chute. Every day above ground is a good one - IMHO.

Weekly Tasks: Too many to enumerate. Never run out of anything to do. The "To Do" list is full and IF I ever get it (them) caught it up (really depends on which "To Do" list we`re talking about - work, clients, personal, yard, house ... you get the picture), I guess I`d retire or something. But hey, stay busy and live a long life - at least that`s what my granddad said and he saw 99, so I guess he had something right

Ah, man.  I missed roll call.  Does this mean I have to go to the principal`s office?  ;)

At any rate, yesterday was our anniversary.  We spent it studying for a test on clinical labs for my hubby (you`re all jealous, I know).  Luckily, we did make good use of the weekend!  We went up to Santa Rosa to see as many as we could of the Woostock (from Peanuts) statues around the town.  It was a great time!  We also took a little detour to Stinson Beach and to Sausalito.  I thought of you, Erin, if you`re around as I drove by a sign for your town!

This week is another push to be ready for a bridal show and to try to reap some benefits from the last.  I now have LD on my phone line so I can call as many people as I want without experiencing the severe pain of cell overages.  So, keep your fingers crossed...a few clients would be very helpful right now!  :)

I`ll try to not miss the roll call next time!

I`m tardy.......but I don`t feel tardy. What? A permission slip? Ummmmm...

Had an interesting conference call today with our manufacturer and  lawyers and a frighteningly high powered third party that could squash us like a bug if they wanted to.

Kind of scary.(Warning: Run on sentence entirely barren of useful punctuation dead ahead!).....Deeeeep Breaaaaaaath..

Have you ever felt that feeling where there is a large and angry dog watching you off in your periphery about 30 yards away and you want to look around for your best way to run and escape yet you don`t wan`t to look away for even a second because he could be on your heels before you blink your eyes and then again you fear turning toward him because you know he will see the fear in your eyes and then you`re dead meat but then again maybe he`s really just a very nice dog that is misunderstood and just wants to be your friend so instead you just stand there silently and hope that you don`t do anything that will provoke him and at the same time wondering what you could do to make him happy? RRrrrhheeeeeeeeeeeee! SHwwhhooooooaaaahhhffff [recovery breath] Nice doggy! Down boy! Down!

That`s how I felt about this conference call. *shudder*

I`ll also try to make it on time.....such pressure!

Looks like I`m late too! Congrats Chris on winning the vacation! Weekend
was good, scoped out a possible event for our lotion client.

This week:
1. Start telling everyone I know about our clients new website so that we
can begin gathering emails to notify everyone of the product launch.
http://http://
www.larsonsskincare.com

2. Burn previous catalog files for another client.
3. Read all of the new business books I just purchased.
4. Research local events in preparation for client to begin selling product.
5. Finish filling out Health Ins papers.
6. Anything else that may arise from working on items 1-5!

Have a great week!
Christina

Well, this is what happens when I get really busy and don`t have time to check out the forums! I`m late as well.

My tasks for the rest of the week include updating a jewelery website, finishing a design for a symphony, and fixing some simple templates for one of our big projects. That ought to be enough to keep me hopping for a couple days at least.

I shot photos of some fabulous jewelery yesterday and monday. It`s tough photographing such nice product... only because I want to buy it all!
