Hey Chris!  How are the vacation plans coming along?

My weekend was such a blur, but good (you know, because we all have our health, etc.)

My goals for this week are:
  • Look into zoning restrictions from my county (since my biz is homebased)
  • Start my term paper (pursuing my MBA) that`s due on 8/28
  • Work on marketing and networking efforts
  • Hopefully finalize a selection on the person(s) who will meet my web design, logo, etc. needs.
  • Stay positive and be grateful for all the wonderful blessings!
I`m sure there are many other things, but I don`t want to bore anyone  What about you?

Brian

Hi Chris,

I`d like to check in today to offer a suggestion for a goal this week for everyone in the Community.

Upload photos and beef up your new StartupNation super-enhanced profile!  We just launched this upgraded profile page and have added a photo gallery feature.

You can check out my profile here. http://www.startupnation.com/profile/brian

We`ve also cleaned up the profile links to much easier to remember URLs.

Let me know what you think.

p.s. my weekend was relaxing and fruitful.  I finally cleaned up my home office and put away boxes that have been sitting around since I moved in 8 months ago!!!...geez it feels good

Hey Chris,

Love this topic!! The weekend was, of course, too short but fun.

Did I ever mention how much I love SuN? People have been feeding me with their experiences, knowledge, suggestions, and services since the day I joined the group!  So my goals for the week are:

1. Go through all the information/paper/document  I have so far and file them to my little organizer box.

2. Do more research on hiring a kitchen manager vs. a chef

3. Get a new internet service

4. Set up a meeting with another restaurant owner via SCORE

5. Update profile as Brian suggested. Brian, your cats are SO cute!!

6. Win the lottery ( I can still dream, right?)

Wish everyone a wonderful week!!

Great idea for a topic Chris. I love it too.

I am here (yelling from the back of the room… Here.). This topic is great because it creates a sort of action plan for some other strings that have been created… Topics dealing with staying focused, motivated, and accountable.

My top five things for this week.

1. Always check startupnation.com for topics to speak to, as well as learn from. This task is not a plug to my dedication to SUN. I actually have penned it into my schedule for at least 2 hours a day. (that’s responding time, reading time, and reading or listening to pod casts... time)

2. Complete elusivetreasures.com’s major upgrade. (More specific; template layout operating properly. Not all products will be available for a little while longer.) When it’s live and ready, I’ll ask for some feed back from ya’l. There are a couple new features I am not sure views really want/need.

3. Research a few business tool website that have been recommended here. Reading, reading, reading… researching… This is actually the part of business I hate. I know hate is a strong word, but I wish there were some other way of getting information into my head without studying.

4. Complete my daily shipping schedule to keep the product moving…

5. Rain dance for Jeff. I may not actually dance, but I do “give thought” to the fires trying to take Jeff’s family’s home. You know butterfly effect… Actually, I don’t give thought to the fire as much as I give the thought to Jeff & his family.

6. Since #5 only takes a few minutes each day. I didn’t want to set goal here that were too easy to accomplish. Therefore I will add a number 6. Six, I will re-organize the shipping/warehouse area. With the HOT HOT weather we have had here in San Jose, I have spent very little time in mid-day keeping things organized. The heat is too much for me out there. So, I will spend a bit more time cleaning up and organizing

Hold me to it guys.

Stephane... ameliorate? I had to look that word up. It`s new to me. I get it now. Thanks for spelling it correctly so I could look it up.

ameliorate means to improve or better and is of French origin from the word -( ameliorer )

Great thread!

I`ll add my goals later.
