Hi Everyone, I just found out about this site joined up.

I've been working on a business idea for several months now, and have pitched it to a major investment firm who gave it high praise and offered to invest if I were interested in taking the company public, which I'm not.

I'm looking for a top notch team of professionals to help me establish the business here in the US. I am in need of the following professional services to start with:

Website & Software Design Services: This will be a large project, sort of like an ebay site, with user control panel and many functions.

Introductory Video - A professional video demonstration / walkthrough of the product/service, benefits, uses, etc.

Trademarking - I want to trademark several names / logos. Need to know what's involved (time, cost, etc.)

Advisors - I have several questions including:

- Should we offer this as a commission only sales opportunity, business opportunity, distributorship, license agreement...? What are the differences, pros & cons, costs, etc.

- What kind of team members will I need to handle marketing, technical support, etc.

I also need help with the financials of the biz plan so I can begin pitching it to investors.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I would suggest that you network within your community. Talk to other entrpreneurs and owners of successfull businesses in the area. Ask them for advice as to consultants and/or professionals that they have used in their own businesses.

If you would like to take the conversation off line, feel free to email me. Good luck.

I do a lot of this in my "Day" job, LOL! There are so many platforms and possibilities, I'd actually ask around and seriously consider hiring this out. It will be a LOT less expensive in the long run that way.

Introductory Video - A professional video demonstration / walkthrough of the product/service, benefits, uses, etc.

Same here. Video is relatively inexpensive to produce. Try craigslist. Local college sudents often offer excellent quality, at least good enough until you have used the videos for your presentation and gotten your investors.

Hiring some things and getting them done will show ingenuity, the willingness to invest, and will make you more attractive to investors.

Trademarking - I want to trademark several names / logos. Need to know what's involved (time, cost, etc.)

I just went through this. $25,000 in legal fees for trademark searching, filing, contracts and licensee agreements, along with incorporation, etc. Not fun, but necessary.

Consider working with a lawyer that is willing to make an investment in time, in return fr higher fees later (sort of a legal work loan with interest).

- Should we offer this as a commission only sales opportunity, business opportunity, distributorship, license agreement...? What are the differences, pros & cons, costs, etc.

Well, that will depend.

I originally went into my business thinking of it as a franchise, but the legal limitations, fees (for each state), etc., made me look in a different direction. I went with "Licensees."

I had made many of the decisions before I met with my lawyer for the first time, and it still took 3 months to create the agreements, because it hadn't been done that way before.

I suggest visiting your local library or Barnes & Noble, and just start reading. I researched for about 18 weeks before really having an idea of where I needed to go. My lawyer said that in that time, I was able to save about $5,000 of fees - AND having done that research is what convinced her that we had a good concept, with sound decision-making.

- What kind of team members will I need to handle marketing, technical support, etc.

The best you can get! *smiles*

For example, in my business, we have a Technical Manager, a Social Media Manager, a Legal Liason, a Financial Manager, an Operations Manager, and we're looking for a Sales Manager.

We've been lucky, we've been able to get those roles in a few people. Thank goodness for multi-talents, at least until we grow.

I also need help with the financials of the biz plan so I can begin pitching it to investors.

I Used 30-Minute Business Plan, and used the sample they give on the CD to create the plan and financials, to convince the law team.

I recommend it.
